I just saw an Instagram post which I can't share as the link ends up broken

It's from brownrocklegal but in 2021, Biden offered Kerr county in Texas 10.2 million to upgrade their flood warning systems. It features interviews from around that time from officials who refused saying that it was communism and that Biden hated America. So basically these are the faces of the politicians who are to be thanked for denying federal funds to disaster aid.

I thought that was pretty wild to learn.

It was million, not billion, still a nice chunk of money, but yes, they didn't want to "be bought" that's a shame, not sure if it would have made a difference, we'll never know, hate is no way to make decisions on safety.

Yes, I remember that.

However, I am not certain that upgrading the warning system would have helped that much. The campers were sleeping in a very vulnerable spot and it would have been extremely difficult if not impossible to reach safe ground (over steep and muddy terrain) even with better warning.

But blaming this on President Biden is simply ludicrous.
