What does an illegal immigrant look like? How do they differ in appearance from a legal immigrant or even a US citizen?

The vast majority of illegal immigrants originally came in legally and then just stayed after their visas expired. Many are from Africa, Asia, Europe, and even Canada. Therefore, the answer to the question that was asked is that they can look like anything. I would be willing to wager that a disproportionate number of them are recent college graduates from Western Europe, whatever that would look like.

@SparkleLeaf You finally hit the nail on the head. The majority do in fact overstay visas from almost every country on Earth, many others sought asylum from vastly different countries, and others still have crossed the border or were smuggled in over the decades from every continent but Antarctica.

@SparkleLeaf Yep. Up until like 4 years ago even the GOP openly admitted that. Or that most violations are a misdemeanor offense.
