If you are able bodied why can’t you perform some manual labour? Is the alternative sitting at home and expecting to be paid?
Carla · 61-69, F
@meJess there millions of people who do work full time jobs. Still, medical insurance remains unreachable for them and their families. Many are disabled. I'd like to know what people that have physical issues can spend any time bent over picking strawberries. Then carrying their haul. Or poor elderly that even with medicare cannot afford co pays and medication. Medicaid fills in for those seniors. You want 70 yo grandmas picking broccoli?

@Carla if you have physical issues or are infirm due to age then you are not able bodied are you?
Carla · 61-69, F
@meJess doesn't quite matter, does it? Medicaid is going away for those can not work. Or they are working towards that. Read the article.

@Carla I read the article, it says that the able bodied should be able to work. Difficult to argue with that, assuming able bodied is properly defined.
