You know I never was on medicaid nor had any type of insurance until 2006. Only after I retired and after 65 was I automatically was forced on Medicare and they automatically deducted $160 from my social security.
Now I need that 160 a month. I'm way below the property line. This is not being addressed in any way.

@DeWayfarer currently, if you are that low, you could supplement with medicaid. I know not for how long.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Carla my only realistic hope is the VA. And that's being cut as well.
jackjjackson · M
Fortunately no cuts benefits for patriotic us citizen taxpayers on social security Medicare or vet benefits. Only scammers and illegal aliens need to fear changed in Medicaid. You elite dem lib loser leaders lie to you and you have fallen for it you entire lives. @Carla @DeWayfarer

@jackjjackson Guy he already cut the VA staffing with DOGE!
What good is a medical VA benefits without a staff.
It will take months to get a appointment.
Heck my counselor rushed to clear me before hand because she wouldn't have a position.

@DeWayfarer he doesn't understand because he doesn't wish to.
Being unable to communicate with the va is enough. I refuse to use the va. One bad experience was enough. But many are forced to.
And medicaid is a lifeline for those poverty stricken seniors on minimum ss benefits. Copays for crucial medications alone can run into the many hundreds of dollars per month.
That's alright with jack though. Grandmas eating catfood and heating with handwarmers is his vision of a perfect america. Especially if that grandma is a democrat.

@Carla This guy had the nerve to ask me why this person was protesting before the parade!...
Saying that he would help.

@Reason10 Guy this was a month ago when DOGE was still in operation.
And that guy was sitting on his rear end for a darn good reason. That's a wheel chair in that image. Not all paraplegics can't stand.

@DeWayfarer You are saying ONLY ONE PERSON was fired for staying at home?
Seriously?
Oh, and I've known a LOT of wheelchair bound individuals who got to work every day.

@DeWayfarer Uh, there is no caption in the first post that (a) shows someone in a wheel chair or (b) indicates that person is 82 years old.
By the way, (and I know this because I used to sell health insurance for the senior market in Florida in the late 80s. We had to become experts on Medicare.)
There are TWO government welfare branches dealing with health care. One is Medicare, which is for the elderly and those in disability. (That also includes Social Security Disability.) Medicaid is the welfare for the low income bums and also designed to pay for skilled nursing home care to seniors who have sold off all their assets. Medicaid for them means not getting kicked out into the streets.
Two completely different animals.

@Reason10 Same image and I made a mistake in the age of 87 years old...
So you don't even read the thread! Just TROLL RIGHT IN.

@DeWayfarer Okay I found it. But it's still irrelevant to the thread. The arrest took place on June 14. President Trump signed the Big Beautiful Bill into law on July 4. And that 87 year old would not have been affected by any changes in medicaid.
But that arrest wasn't about medicaid or the bill .

@Reason10 He is cutting everything across the board and you know it.
One agency affects the others. I'm a vet myself BTW. So I have first hand experience.
BTW That medicare part B deduction is NOW 182 dollars not just 160.

That is a REALLY EGREGIOUS AND IGNORANT LIE. I read the bill. You didn't.
If there were cuts across the board, Elon Musk wouldn't have left. His beef with the bill was it allowed the deficits to grow too much.
Oh, and by the way, Nixon signed the law OUTLAWING any cuts EVEN TO THE RATE OF INCREASE of entitlement spending. It's called the "current services budget" and it's the reason why entitlements are 70 percent of the federal budge.
President Trump is cutting the waste and fraud, which the DEMONAZIS have been promising since the KKKlinton regime.
He's keeping that promise. And the only people who will feel it are able bodied individuals who are on WELFARE and are too fcking lazy to work.

@Reason10 added edit...
And I am retired!
A ten dollar increase in social security doesn't cover the 22 dollar increase in medicare part B. That's not including the real inflation increases
You want slave labor for the whole country though. Not just the retired.
