The elderly poor have medicare, for now.

And I think the current admins are going to find...
The new work requirements are set to take effect in states by the end of 2026, but health care advocates argue that many recipients already have jobs or are unable to work.

Quite strategically, most of the changes currently underway won't take effect until after and to improve chances for Republicans at midterms.

So, yeah, most medicaid recipients are children, people who already have low-paying jobs without health benefits and disabled people. So I think our "comrades" are going to need lots and lots of automation plus a remedial math course.

@faery yes...the elderly have medicare, for now.
Many elders have low ss income. Even with medicare, co pays and medications are unaffordable. Many have a medicaid plan to supplement medicare.
