There's a Simple Name for It...

"When federal agents are explicitly encouraged to arrest people to meet numerical targets, when constitutional protections become negotiable—we have moved beyond the realm of policy disagreement into territory that has a specific historical designation.”

"Numerical targets" are secondary to the real problem - which is blatant criminal gang activity or breaking Federal Immigration laws by crossing the border into the US illegally.

The fact that there has to be some type of gauge on how many are arrested per day just underscores the real problem of President Joseph Biden's allowing 21M illegal alien criminals in the US.

That's a number you made up🤣😂😝🤣😂
@ElwoodBlues Regardless, there are still people out there that are illegal and or gang members and there is a number attached to that. That is why Trump's administration is able to deport on this scale. If it was just a few people here illegally then a small number would be deported - but there isn't a small number of illegals. You get it ? - no / yes ?
@MarmeeMarch I'm asking for the evidence that supports your claims. The ICE Dashboard shows 26,606 arrests at present:
https://www.ice.gov/statistics

Also, here are some higher numbers from the MSM.

NBC News reported that ICE deported 11,000 migrants in February, just over 12,300 in the first four weeks of March, and approximately 17,200 in April.Trump administration officials have said they will prioritize deporting criminals, but ICE data shows that roughly half of those who were deported in February did not have criminal records, and more than half of those currently in ICE detention have no criminal charges or convictions.

ICE told Congress last year that, as of July, it had identified 435,000 undocumented immigrants with criminal convictions in the United States who were not in custody. It is not clear how many of those criminal noncitizens have been arrested or deported.

What are your numbers, and where are you getting them from??
@ElwoodBlues What numbers ? It's common sense. If you want to make a bowl of rice for yourself to eat - you aren't going to cook one grain at a time - right ?

Correct me if I am wrong - but if you enter the US through any NON- designated entry point is illegal - right ? Doesn't that make you a criminal ?

Have A Nice Day 🙂🌻
@MarmeeMarch You've "forgotten" again, about asylum. Allow me to refresh your memory.

For decades, US immigration law and policy was designed to spit in the eye of Fidel Castro by treating everyone who set foot on Florida as an asylum seeker. This helped earn votes from a swing demographic in a swing state. I agree, we need immigration reform.

§1158. Asylum
(a) Authority to apply for asylum
(1) In general
Any alien who is physically present in the United States or who arrives in the United States (whether or not at a designated port of arrival and including an alien who is brought to the United States after having been interdicted in international or United States waters), irrespective of such alien's status, may apply for asylum in accordance with this section or, where applicable, section 1225(b) of this title.
@ElwoodBlues Sir - sir - sir - Asylum seekers must travel through - what ? what points of entry ?
How are we supposed to know who wants asylum ? Of course when caught you can claim that you want asylum - just like shoplifters that want to pay for their stuff after caught - use some sense.
@ElwoodBlues Also asylum is a lengthy process that involves investigation on a case by case situation. You have to prove that ( the criteria used for each country )
Asylum is not a word that lets you stay here w/o an investigation.
@MarmeeMarch Indeed, a lengthy due process, dating all the way back to Reagan's 1986 immigration laws. Our asylum pipeline is quite full these days.

However, it just so happens that the Senate, in early 2024, produced a bipartisan bill to greatly streamline the asylum process. You remember what happened to that bill, right? Trump squashed it; blocked any debate. The asylum issue had a fix and Trump didn't want it implemented. SAD!

Trump blocked the bipartisan bill to keep the border as a campaign issue. He DAMAGED America for the sake of his campaign. And we're still stuck with the lengthy asylum process. And tRump's masked secret national police are doing everything in their power to avoid due process.

Sad, when the rule of law dies, isn't it?
@ElwoodBlues I suppose but I don't know why you are crying to me about it. Don't like Trump - don't vote for him then. But the fact that he won by a majority of people that voted both popular and the electoral. Trump was mandated to clean up DODGE - and as radical as you might think his policies are - they are things that need to be done after 4 long and miserable years with President Joseph Robinette Biden.
@MarmeeMarch I'm asking you where you got your numbers regarding
Joseph Biden's allowing 21M illegal alien criminals in the US.

Then you asked if entering the US without documents is illegal and I quoted for you the law on asylum. As a potential point of unity between us I pointed out that we're in agreement that that law needs fixiing.

But all of that was dancing around my original question of where you got your numbers and why they are so different from quoted ICE numbers.
@ElwoodBlues I got it from the President of the United States and I am not going to argue. That's why he is the President. If it's wrong then he should correct himself. Did he correct himself ? I have heard 8-10 million. But if Trump says 21M then that's good enough for me. Why did Trump say 21M ? and not 60 million ?

Dude, you just made this ALL ABOUT tRump!!

Thanks for the direct answer!

Why did Trump say 21M ? and not 60 million ?
tRump is an experienced conman, practiced at the art of deception. He judges what his audience will swallow. He makes statements for their effect on his audience, regardless of truth value. Here are some of his more outrageous claims; do you believe ANY of them??

June 2015: “There’s nobody bigger or better at the military than I am.”
Nov 2015: "I know more about ISIS than the generals do."
Nov 2015: "I know more about courts than any human being on Earth."
Mar 2016: "Nobody knows more about trade than me."
Apr 2016: "I know more about renewables than any human being on Earth."
May 2016: "I think nobody knows more about taxes than I do, maybe in the history of the world. Nobody knows more about taxes."
July 2016: "[L]ook, as a builder, nobody in the history of this country has ever known so much about infrastructure as Donald Trump."
Feb 8 2017: "I understand things. I comprehend very well. Ok? Better than, I think, almost anybody"
Dec 2018: "Technology — nobody knows more about technology than me."
Jan 2019: "I know more about drones than anybody. I know about every form of safety that you can have."

Want video evidence Trump said these things?
[media=https://youtu.be/sR3f95BGIiA]
Again, do you believe ANY of these claims by tRump??

@ElwoodBlues Sorry - he is the Prez...

★ Have A Nice Day... 🙂🌻
@MarmeeMarch Yet you didn't accord Obama or Biden that level of respect, did you?

When you believe all truth emerges from one person, and you believe that everyone who disagrees is lying, that means you're in a cult.
@ElwoodBlues Well I really hate to break the news to you but Obama isn't President at this very moment. I will still call him President Obama and President Biden - That's a lot more respect that you afford to our current President, Trump - calling him
tRump
Now who's in a cult...

@MarmeeMarch Sorry, dude, respect has to be earned, and tRump failed at that!

As far as tRump's personal honesty is concerned, he made 30,573 lies & false claims in his first term as president https://news.yahoo.com/trump-made-30-573-false-205400099.html
Only cult member would continue to believe such a proven prevaricator.
