Trump Wins $16 Million Settlement from Paramount Over CBS Interview Editing
President Trump just won another major battle against media bias. Paramount, the parent company of CBS, has agreed to pay a whopping $16 million to settle Trump’s lawsuit over a deceptively edited “60 Minutes” interview with Kamala Harris during the 2024 election.
“Paramount will settle President Donald Trump’s lawsuit against CBS and has agreed to pay $16 million over an edited interview of former presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Paramount said the settlement will also include Trump’s legal fees and costs, adding the $16 million, minus the legal costs, will go toward Trump’s presidential library.”
The settlement doesn’t include an apology, but actions speak louder than words. Forking over $16 million says plenty about who was in the right. The money will cover Trump’s legal fees, with the rest going to fund his presidential library.
This isn’t the first time Trump has made a news giant pay up. Just months ago, ABC News also agreed to pay $16 million to settle a defamation case against anchor George Stephanopoulos, who falsely claimed the president was found “liable” for rape.
