Maga gets off to being subjugated by some rich a* hole though so they won't listen. I like the meme.

@SatanBurger I was just making the point that Americans (many of them) are just different, for some reasom. Their "normal" just isnt the same. As for who we let into the country. We do have a rul against convicted felons too.. One in particular comes to mind..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I have a theory but it's kinda an obvious one. Even though it's obvious I could still be wrong. But I have noticed that there's a case of right winged political influencers gaining traction. Before you used to have experience but now anyone on YouTube can apply for president it seems. And we seem to not really hold anyone accountable where it kinda seems like a free for all.

But I have noticed that with the rise of influencers have correlated with the rise of Trump. And people in America seem to take things like that as it's very engrained in our culture.

The anti vaccine movement, all the political charged talks on gun violence in schools. Usually, it's political influencers that have gained traction within those communities.

It's like now we have all these small cults, vying for attention. Maga is a cult, it's not official but that's what it is.

I was hearing about evangelical, mormons and other cults as well. There's a whole bunch of areas in America where cults live in gated communities and have their own rules.

America seems to be purely a consumerist society, they consume until they're sick including influencers.

@SatanBurger I accept all of that.. Again, the topic of American society and its influence on the world is popular.. So spoken about a lot in Academic circles..I could give you a thousand words on the possible influences that make Americans more "shallow" in the eyes of some other cultures..But I suppose it depends on where you are looking from.. Thats why i always look at the money flows first..😷

Not to take anything away from FDR, but back then people generally were in favour of their own interests and voted that way which held political leaders in check to look out for the electorate.

Today, "the base" will just as easily vote against their own interests, promote programs that will harm them, their families, and their neighbours, and if told they must give up a son or daughter for sacrifice at most will meekly challenge they should be able to choose which one they give up while cheerily complying to prove to "the libs" just how heartless they can be.

@MarkPaul FDR understood something Trump and his MAGAts dont.. That an unemployed, poverty striken nation cant thrive. Even the rich wont make it in the long run without commerce, trade and enough people with enough money to support an economy.. The end game for Trumps vision is a tiny minority of Royalty, with a small local Aristocracy to keep the peasants in line. Its been tried..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You're almost correct. Look, I have been studying this situation quite closely (from afar) and the end game for Cry-Baby-trump doesn't include anyone but him. Not his wife, his kids, those who behave in servitude to him, his cronies, not even his self-confessed lovers Kim Jung Un or Elon Musk. And, THAT is why he will eventually implode... if dementia doesn't claim him first.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MarkPaul I think we agree completely.. But I refer to the bigger picture of the whole of American society (as it is now) Trump is merely the lever that will start the avalanche that will roll over him and everyone else. The people behind him are content for him to break the current model, so they can replace it with something that suits them..😷
God Bless FDR; NOT DJT!
