5 Universal Truths. Agree or disagree?

1. You are not special just because you were born somewhere.

2. The planet is not in danger; we are in danger

3. We could be the only consciousness in the universe; and we’re wasting it watching TikTok.

4. Our tech addiction is by design.

5. Being kind is the most rebellious thing we can do.

1 - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Like art. I am special to me, and my children. I was probably special to my parents, but both of them are dead. Likewise my children are special to me.

2 - We (as living things) are part of the planet because every part of a plant or animal (unless an alien) is made from the earth and will go back to the earth when it dies, so if either it and/or we are in danger, so the other is also in danger.

3 - Tik-what?

4 - Tech is a flow on from industrialisation, and a realisation by the elite that tech is a means to remove control from everyone who's not elite. This is what makes UN 'Agenda 2030' and the WEF "Klaus Schwab Inc" 'own nothing be happy' concept outright dangerous.

5 - in this day and age being kind is often seen as an affront. esp. by women when men try to be kind and respectful to them and unless you are immediately perceived to meet the 666-rule you get labelled as a creep, pervert, predator and unworthy of dating/sex/relationship connections.

@zonavar68 what I mean by 1 is that nationalism, tribalism, racism…it’s all imaginary. We’re all on the same overheating rock. We’ve got to stop congratulating ourselves that we were born within some imaginary lines and learn to cooperate

@Hopelandia Ah the 'white privilege' argument?
Hopelandia · M
@zonavar68 Essentially yes. White people think they're special.

@Hopelandia Even worse, it's automatically *presumed* that white people think they're special. I sure as hell *don't*, but I know that there are some aspects of our society where white people are automatically advantaged over indigenous Aussies and immigrants (esp refugees and people granted political asylum). I bet the same happens in the USA, and many other countries.
