U.S. Navy warships are firing top ballistic missile interceptors at an 'alarming rate,' admiral says

U.S. Navy warships are burning through one of the top ballistic missile interceptors at an "alarming rate," the admiral overseeing naval operations told lawmakers on Tuesday.

During a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing, Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz said US forces have expended large amounts of munitions to defend Israel from Iranian strikes during the latest round of conflict in the Middle East and asked whether the Navy has all the Standard Missile-3 interceptors that it needs to be ready for other global threats.

Adm. James Kilby, acting chief of naval operations, said that the service does have a sufficient supply of interceptors, but, he said, "we are, to your point, using them at an alarming rate."

"As you know, those are missiles procured by the Missile Defense Agency and then delivered to the Navy for our use," he added. "And we are using them quite effectively in the defense of Israel."

I mean unless the supreme court or whatever court has the most power to arrest trump and his cronies, he's going to keep doing it. They seem perfectly fine with letting Trump steamroll this country, I don't want to hear using weapons at an alarming rate, just say no. If they don't say no, then they want to bankrupt America and give it to another country.

My only wish for when we finally go bankrupt as a nation is that the nation that takes us over isn't bad. That's a 50/50 chance, it could go either way. Best case scenario countries like Sweden, Finland would be great or even Mexico, the Mexican president isn't so bad, she's pretty decent.

Worst case though? Yeah.....

@SatanBurger We all know who is taking over.. They have been building up capital for a while and buying into profitable niches like movies..And you can look to Hong Kong for what the place will run like. Of course if I were doing it, I would be sure to let Americans thin thier own herd and use up some of their ammo on each other before I moved in. And leave puppets in charge. I am sure JD and the boys will be OK with that..😷

So why not just move the border along the 49th Parallel further to the south to about Key West Florida and let Canada take over the care and maintenance of America, rather than Mexico?

The only thing is, Americans would have to ditch all their guns along with their Constitution before any of that could happen because Canada has a no-gun policy and besides that, there are no stores in Canada that sell ammo for handguns, AR-15's or AK-47's, just to name a few of America's 2nd Amendment-inspired favorites!

Everyone in America would also have to attend school in Canada until they were at least 16 years of age before dropping out to work at McDonald's full-time, though 16 year old males are not allowed to remain in a Canadian public school indefinitely according to Canadian law.

Believe me when I say that fragile American male egos wouldn't get along very well in Sweden because Swedish women are in charge of the country, not men.

@SandWitch I was talking about if a nation were to take us over, not us traveling to Sweden. As in I'd hope for countries like Sweden to take over America when we crash. Not traveling to Sweden every day.

With all due respect to the US Navy, through my Service Connection with the Royal Swedish Navy I learned a very long time ago that the US Missile Defense Agency procures all of the US military's missiles and small arms ammunition from Canada, not from the USA!

The reason that Canada has supplied the US military with ammunition and bombs since WWI and WWII and which includes all munitions used during the Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan wars, is because Canada has the raw materials which are mined from the earth in northern Canada to make bombs and the like, whereas the USA does not have that mining capability. The USA has coal mines and the odd gold mine but that's where US mining pretty much ends.

The immediate problem is, Canada has recently announced that it is no longer doing Trade business with the USA as a Trading Partner, particularly when it comes to purchasing military assets, which means that Canada has been sending all factory-made bullets and ballistic missiles over to Ukraine to aid in the ongoing war against Putin ever since the USA retreated from that action.

@beckyromero But you dont.. Most US munitions is produced in Canada. The people who you just got a whole bunch of trade deals cancelled with..Even if you produce the guidance and tech, the "Go Bang" part wont be there..😷
