It’s true. Iran used to be a very modern and forward thinking country. It wasn’t until we secretly backed a revolution that they became what it is now. During the chaos after the revolution terrorists using religion as an excuse to fight for control. But since they were hostile to the russians instead of wiping them out we armed them and trained them to fight them. When the cold war ended they turned on us.
@Captainjackass I'm glad I learned something new that I didn't know before. No one talks about it even if I'm sad that it happened that way. So without anything like that happening, Iran would be more forward thinking and innovative.
It's sad to know that an entire culture was crushed and subjugated, it breaks my heart.
