Biden made this into law.
But guess what color he is.
Exactly. ☺

@Zonuss actually you go by what science says through the process of evolution all humanoids were dark skin people, all humanoids originated in Africa that includes the ancestor of the Neanderthal, and the homo erectus who's supposedly both Neanderthal and Homo sapien evolved from. Before colonization what was Africa?

According to science skin without dark pigmentation evolved 20 to 30,000 years ago newer reports say 10,000 years ago.

You asked exactly what color is Joe Biden? How about all of mankind?

Lots of misconceptions about Juneteenth. Even though it was announced in Texas that slavery ended in the Confederacy, slavery itself did not end until the XIII Amendment to the Constitution was ratified in December of 1865. Even between June and December, slavery was still legal in the border states of Missouri, Kentucky, Delaware, Maryland and in Washington D.C. Even though the announcement was made in Galveston, Texas is such a huge state that it probably took a long time for the message to get across.

IMO, If Texas wants to make Juneteenth a state holiday, so be it. Juneteenth should not be a federal holiday as Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation had already freed the slaves in the US.

@IM5688 the 19th of June has been a national holiday

N a t i o n a l H o l i d a y // do you know what national holiday means? It is celebrated on that particular day in all the states of the United States of America.

So Texas don't have to make it a state holiday, why would Texas when it's a national holiday.

@Charity Juneteenth, is a holiday commemorating the Emancipation Proclamation in the United States.

Although Juneteenth celebrations were documented as early as 1866, it wasn't officially recognized as a federal holiday until 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act.
