Mr Trump, you started it and we will end it.

Iran media warns Donald Trump, after US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, and airs map of US military bases in Middle East.

All US bases are located in neighboring Arab states (Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar (CENTCOM),Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, and Syria). The last thing for Iran to do is complicate matters by involving her Muslim neighbors.

The smart thing for Iran to do is to strike US aircraft carriers. They are ducks sitting in the Mediterranean (USS Truman and Gerald Ford), Gulf of Eden (USS Carl Vinson), and the Arabian Sea (USS Nimitz), multi-billion dollar targets for a barrage of Iran's hypersonic missiles. One hit on their flight decks, and their fighter jets are benched, and Donald Trump is sunk.

Iran has no hypersonic capability that could strike a vessel at sea. Their Fattah, I think that’s the spelling, have limited range and do not meet hypersonic speeds according to the military weapons assessments.

Any US vessel can be sunk with a Navy Frigate that was manufactured 20 years ago. Iran doesn't need anything hypersonic to sink a US vessel floating through the Gulf of Hormuz which is the only place in the world that matters right now.
@swirlie I'm pretty sure the US fleet is on high alert right now. It's not like Iran has stealth capability. They're at the point where they can't launch the missiles they still have because they don't have enough launch sites.

But Iran doesn't need stealth capability! Let's face it, Osama bin Ladin's boys were allowed legitimate entry into the USA by Americans, not Iranians!
@swirlie They could probably sneak a guy in to set off a bomb somewhere. I'm not sure they want to do that, however, as that would only escalate US involvement. Khamanei was already making overtures toward surrender.

@LeopoldBloom
...overtures toward surrender, huh? ...that's exactly how the North Vietnamese fooled everyone as well with overtures of a pending surrender.

Exactly one year after the US retreated from 17 years of meaningless fighting in Vietnam after being duped into believing that the North Vietnamese had surrendered, the North Vietnamese simply walked back in and re-invaded south Vietnam.

But because the US military knew that they sucked at jungle warfare, they never returned to Vietnam, though costing 58,000 American lives before they finally figured that part out. That's the same reason the US military retreated from Afghanistan because the US military proved itself to suck big-time at mountain warfare too.

The reason you won't see American boots on the ground in Iran is because the US military does not know how to effectively conduct ground-based operations in desert, mountain or jungle conditions.

@sunsporter1649
No he wouldn't sunsporter. He never disputed it when he was alive and he sure as hell isn't going to dispute it now either.
