Couple things.
There is still quite a lot of strong support for Israel among Democrats.
Trump is not a big defense spender, not by any means.
Democrats are mixed on the no tax on tips, SSI, OT proposals, etc. The problem with those that don't support no taxes on tips and Social Security is they THINK that the Social Security trust fund would be hurt. It would not if they would address the issues that ARE hurting the trust fund, i.e. the cap on SSI earning taxes and the failure to recognize that many seniors and those close to retirement are HURTING because of SSI taxes, the failure to raise the minimum wages, the punitive cut to SSI benefits for those who for reasons of health struggle to work full-time before reaching their full retirement age and, of course, Covid. Democrats who oppose the no tax on tips, OT and SSI are blinded because those proposals were backed by Trump. They need to SUPPORT those proposals and ADD to them, including Trump's 10% cap on credit card interest rates and Sen. Josh Hawley's proposal to raise the minimum wage to $15/hr NEXT YEAR and index it to inflation. Hawley! Can you believe that?!

Well, regrettably, I do believe it. I naturally disagree with Hawley’s economic populist interventionism but I‘m confident his views will continue to be marginalized and discarded just as the dangerous suggestion to cap credit card interest rates. Thanks for mentioning that last point, I almost forgot about it, I‘ll add it to the list.
