Because extinction is not the same as occupation. That is not a political consideration, it is the reality of the difference in the two conflicts. Russia has not made it a stated aim to eliminate Ukraine and its entire population.

@iamthe99 you seem to miss the poster's point. In fact both Israel and Ukraine are fighting for their survival.
Cierzo · M
@samueltyler2 Everything wrong. It is actually Russia and Palestine who are struggling for their survival against the Jewish-NATO evil empire
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Cierzo wow, you have no knowledge of history. Either you didn't attend a real school or you played hookie the day they taught those lessons. The other possibility is that you are a bot. I really hope it is the last.

@samueltyler2 I am not missing the point at all. Israel is not, and never will be, fighting for its survival. It is engaged in a genocidal war with its neighbours under the guise of "defending itself" knowing that anyone who is White will cheer them on.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@iamthe99 if you believe that you are either denying reality or are totally uneducated.
iamthe99 · M
@samueltyler2 I don't believe it. I know it. The only danger to peace in the Middle East at the moment is Israel itself. There is no evidence whatsoever that Iran is building a nuclear weapon, much less that they would use it unprovoked on Israel.
Israel has made the situation in the Middle East unimaginably worse, and that's really saying something.

@iamthe99 you defy all words
iamthe99 · M
@samueltyler2 Then show me why I am wrong.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@jeancolby me? Be serious.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@meJess i beg to differ, they are systematically wiping out Ukrainian ethnics and history.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@iamthe99 I don't have to educate you.
iamthe99 · M
@samueltyler2 Because you know I'm right. I rest my case.
jeancolby · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 NO NOT YOU.
iamthe99 · M
@jeancolby Oh, so you mean me! Show me why I'm wrong. @samueltyler2 won't because he can't. Now you try.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@samueltyler2 respectfully, no.
The "war" has been asymmetric.
Israel has far more military resources and equipment than Palestinians have.
Most of those killed in Gaza have been civilians with many of them children.
Israel has hardly been fighting for their existence.
Can I give you another nation that is?
Armenia. Armenians were ethnically cleansed from Karabakh by the Azerbaijani government. They were indigenous to the region and the majority. Right now Azerbaijan has military stationed in Armenia in Syunik and Goris. They have made ridiculous demands of Armenia including constitutional changes, which if Armenia doesn't comply they'll restart the war.

@basilfawlty89 *crickets*....
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@iamthe99 if you really want to see what Iran wants of Israel, please, just Google it yourself!
iamthe99 · M
@samueltyler2 There's a big difference as to what a country "wants" and what it's actually prepared to do. Iran knows launching an attack on Israel would be suicide.
Israel, on the other hand, knows that its actions will be excused from now until Armageddon because of, you know, the Holocaust (which did happen, before you blow your top).

samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@iamthe99 Have you no individual brains? Who has been behind all of the attacks on Israel over the past decade or more? Iran even said they have been. It isn't the Holocaust today, just look at what Iran targets! They go after citizens!
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@samueltyler2 no one denies that Iran is not a democratic country and is a theocracy.
People maybe just don't want WW3 or Iraq 2.0.
Iran has human rights violations.
So does Israel.
The difference is Israel is supposed to be a secular liberal democracy.
Hence they should be held to secular liberal democratic standards.

Hamas.
If you're talking about Hezbollah, they may have been founded with the help of Iran, they have political and military autonomy, and their military has independent command structures.
And who is the most murderous regime in the Middle East? Israel.
Here are all of Israel's atrocities:
1978: Following a Palestinian commando raid that killed 34 Israelis in 1978, Israel invaded southern Lebanon up to the Litani River. This operation resulted in over 2,000 Lebanese and Palestinian civilian deaths and displaced more than 200,000 people.
1982 Invasion: Israel's invasion aimed to expel the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) from Lebanon. The conflict led to approximately 20,000 deaths, primarily civilians, including at least 5,500 in West Beirut.
merip.org
2006 War: During the conflict with Hezbollah, Israeli airstrikes and artillery attacks resulted in the deaths of at least 1,109 Lebanese civilians, with over 4,400 wounded.
2023–2025 Escalation: Between October 2023 and November 2024, Israeli attacks killed nearly 4,000 people in Lebanon, including at least 266 children, and injured over 16,000.
Syria
1972 Airstrikes: In retaliation for the Munich Olympics massacre, Israel bombed PLO bases in Syria and Lebanon, resulting in 65–200 deaths, including 11 Lebanese civilians.
en.wikipedia.org
2018–2024 Airstrikes: Israeli airstrikes in Syria targeted Iranian and Hezbollah positions. Between 2018 and 2024, these operations resulted in the deaths of 68 civilians, with the majority of casualties being Hezbollah and Iranian-backed fighters.

Egypt
1970 Abu Zaabal Factory Raid: Israeli aircraft attacked a metal factory in Cairo, killing 70–80 workers and injuring 69 others. Israel claimed the factory was used for military purposes, while Egypt maintained it was a civilian industrial site.
1970 Bahr El-Baqar School Bombing: Israeli jets bombed a primary school in Sharqia Province, killing 46 children and injuring at least 50 others. Israel claimed the bombing was an accident, alleging the school was mistaken for a military installation.
1973 Sinai Incident: Israeli aircraft shot down a Libyan airliner over the Sinai Desert, killing all 106 people aboard. The aircraft had strayed into Israeli-occupied territory.
Jordan
1970 Black September: In response to Palestinian insurgent activities, Jordan's military clashed with Palestinian factions, resulting in the deaths of approximately 600 people, including 10,000 Palestinians killed or wounded.
1981 Osirak Airstrike: Israel bombed Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor, killing 10 Iraqi soldiers and scientists. The attack was aimed at preventing Iraq from developing nuclear weapons.
Saudi Arabia
2018–2024 Airstrikes: Israeli airstrikes in Syria, targeting Iranian and Hezbollah positions, occasionally resulted in the deaths of foreign fighters, including some from Saudi Arabia. Specific numbers are not publicly detailed.
And, of course, estimates suggest that over 136,000 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israeli military operations and related actions
By contrast, since the establishment of Israel in 1948, just 4,189 Israelis have been killed in attacks by insurgent groups, including Hamas and other factions.
That's ALL. In almost 50 years!!
