U.S. Senator Alex Padilla of California was physically assaulted
6/12/25 - Senator Padilla forced to the ground, handcuffed, and removed from a Department of Homeland Security press conference by the Trump administration in Los Angeles.
It happened after Padilla identified himself and tried to ask Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem a question during the event, which was in response to the ongoing ICE raids and militarization against protesters in LA this past week.
This is not supposed to happen in the United States. This is fascism on full display.
If this is how the administration treats a sitting U.S. Senator, what are they willing to do to civilians? Senator Padilla said it himself: If this is how the administration responds to a Senator with a question, you can only imagine what they're doing to farmworkers, cooks, and day laborers throughout the country.
Trump and his far-right goons have already sicced ICE and their Gestapo tactics on immigrant communities across the country to carry out their mass deportation agenda.
Sat. June 14 join the No King's Demonstration in your area. There will be 1,500 demonstrations around the country. Trump must be removed from office, arrested, and tried for treason and other charges. THIS CAN'T WAIT!

@Northwest Of course he’s not. As a Senator he is part of the oversight of the Dept of Homeland Security.
Then she lied and said that he didn’t identify himself—apparently she didn’t know that there is video showing that he clearly did and was immediately attacked.

@KunsanVeteran Thats not going to happen and it would do not good anyway. What is happening in America now has taken hold and is an aggressive cancer. I hate to say this but the legal system will not stop it. It has one hand tied behind its back and is simply ignored when its not convenient. After WW2 the local people dealt with those who would deny them the protection of the law in a more speedy and permanent way. Then they dont come back and cause more trouble..(And you have no idea how angry at myself I am for believing that.)😷

@KunsanVeteran Clearly this if fine with the American people. And the National Guard and Marines are on his side..Its pretty much over now...And America is going with a whimper. At least the America of the Constitution, the Bill or Rights and the Statue of Liberty..😷
