Here's my advice;

@basilfawlty89 What I've noticed is that they tend to support things if it makes them feel good rather than making sense in practice. If you notice, their entire speech is based on emotion. They think we're at war with immigrants so no matter the overall actions of the person as the person is guilty no matter what, they fear monger about vaccines, they think people are trying to poison their children or that abortion is murder.

I can go through and touch on those but I won't, it's just that they're emotionally charged rather than seeing the cause and effect consequences of their behavior.

This leads them to having very little empathy for others. They're happy the immigrants are in shipping containers boiling cos they're convinced immigrants are out to kill them.

They likely haven't even left their towns or been exposed to anything except their little worlds so it's likely that the world is "scary" to them.

You even see it with politicians who make ignorant claims about women's bodies and stuff. They don't have the world experience nor the wisdom to tell the difference.
