This was recorded during the Biden presidency.

I remember Reagan's presidential campaign and his presidency. Many Democrats feared that he was "too conservative", too "extreme."

Regardless of your politics, regardless of whether you sympathize with Republicans or Democrats today, regardless of your opinion of CNN journalism, I think we can all agree that the tapes of Reagan's own words that are played during this interview underscore how the political "center" has shifted!

I'll never forget when Reagan called seniors on Medicare, "A faceless mass waiting for handouts." I hated Reagan ever since.

Thus, a secret theft of presidential documents was equated with the public disclosure of needful information. This was a man never short of a cheap jibe or the sort of falsehood that would, however laughable, buy him some time."
