And yet he wants to run again...
@iamthe99 Ah

Did it work?
iamthe99 · M
@SomeMichGuy A few have fallen for it :) I wanted to add the hashtag #EVerybodyloveselectric, but then I couldn't be bothered to rewrite it to include EVs :P

@georgelong says
Take wind turbines. Huge amount of old school energy to create and install them, huge waste when their short lifespan is over and unknown bad side effects on animal life.
DEAD WRONG!!!

Let's take some life cycle analyses of wind turbines, calculating the grams of CO2-equivalent emitted per kWh generated over the whole life of the turbine. Onshore turbines can be as low as 4.9, up to to 11.8 g/kWh. Offshore wind turbines range from 10.9 to 25.5 g/kWh.

How about natural gas? 437 to 758 grams of CO2-equivalent per kilowatt-hour. Coal is worse, ranging from 675 to 1,689g/kWh.
Source is Yale University: https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2021/06/whats-the-carbon-footprint-of-a-wind-turbine/

Nope, @georgelong, the numbers don't support your claim. The numbers tell the OPPOSITE story!! Wind turbines are FAR FAR cleaner, like by factors of 15 to 100 or more!!!

@georgelong says

As of now EV failure speaks for itself.
DEAD WRONG AGAIN !!!

This data is for the EU for 2023; new EV registrations continue to soar.

BYD electric vehicles are taking over the market in China

@georgelong says
The cheapest, most environmentally friendly and efficient energy are lots and lots of SMALL nuclear energy plants.
Interesting claim; what data do you base it on? How many of these SMALL nuclear energy plants have been built so far? How many are in service??

I found exactly two in service; one in Russia, the other in China. I'd love to see your cost data on these small modular reactors!!

@ElwoodBlues elwood, i just love you to death🙂
In an online appreciation kind of way😉
Trump has given lip service to people concerned about pollution before, then he became president and pulled out of the Paris Accords.
I remember the first time he was running for president, there was like a week where he kept saying "we're gonna have the cleanest water, the cleanest air" over and over again. He likes the idea of easily solving every problem, but he's never going to do anything that goes against big business.
georgelong · 46-50, M
Indeed not. Sensible people agree with me about tons of small nuclear power plants. @iamthe99
iamthe99 · M
@georgelong Trump is not one of them.
georgelong · 46-50, M
Your opinion is without merit. @iamthe99
DogMan · 61-69, M
Nuclear and Natural gas are the cleanest and most cost effective. But many Democrats hate this clean energy.
Why you ask? Because it is cheap. It seems that many on the left want expensive, intermittent power.

As we know, the biggest Solar farm in America recently closed down in the Mojave desert due to not generating
enough energy, and it was in the sunniest place on earth.
iamthe99 · M
@DogMan You honestly agree with what he said? This thread is actually about seeing whether you believe what he says unquestioningly.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@iamthe99 What he says, What you say he says. and what he does are all different things. Every anti-Trump headline
is swallowed by the left as being the truth.

Do you know that ONLY anti-Trump headlines are allowed by the MSM?
iamthe99 · M
@DogMan I wouldn't say this is an anti-Trump headline. I just wish it was true.
tRump says
clean air, clean water,

However, talk is cheap, and actions speak louder than words.

Trump Administration Repeals Crucial Clean Water Rule Act

Trump orders agencies to 'sunset' environmental protections

Apr 10, 2025 — President Trump directed agencies that regulate energy and the environment to sunset a wide array of environmental protections in an executive order issued Wednesday night.

He ordered agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Energy Department, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement and Fish and Wildlife Service to amend regulations so that they expire by October 2026.
georgelong · 46-50, M
Yeah right. You’re barely capable of unrolling toilet paper. @iamthe99
@georgelong You failed to check the facts, and so you got played!!!

iamthe99 · M
@georgelong Then please find the exact post 🤣 I assure you! I even put in the trump2028 hashtag for funzies.

@Elisbch You are correct.

To TACO climate change was a Chinese hoax until it started to affect his golf outings. He now sees that America must be mobilized so he won't have to play on burnt out greens and fairways.
Sevendays · M
If he gives everyone in the USA 3400 trees and mandates that they randomly plant them, it could happen
Sevendays · M
@DogMan perfect. What kind?
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Sevendays Mostly Ash trees, Mesquite trees, Pines trees, and junipers. I also have almond and fig.

I live in the desert southwest.
Sevendays · M
@DogMan very good
DrWatson · 70-79, M
Didn't he just end tax credits for solar power?
iamthe99 · M
@DrWatson Yes he did. I wrote that post to see how many MAGAts suddenly decided climate change is real after all ;)
Musicman · 61-69, M
Go Trump! 😊
iamthe99 · M
@Musicman Do you believe in climate change now?
Musicman · 61-69, M
@iamthe99 Not really.
