Liverpool fans attacked him in his car and even broke his back window, We might assume he might have panicked.
Would being attacked by a crowd not frighten you?

@JonUK41 They attacked his car after he had ploughed into pedestrians and it had come to a standstill. He was assisted by at least two police officers.

@SunshineGirl And people will now suffer trauma for the rest of their lives. Including children.

@SunshineGirl agreed. But @JonUK41 is of the opinion that the suspect is actually the victim.

@iamthe99 I wasn't agreeing with him, I was pointing out the sequence of events.

@iamthe99 This is where we differ.
You assume that anyone who's indicated support for a democratically elected politician you don't like must be guilty of attempted murder, doubly so if he's white. I don't judge people by political support or skin colour. So let's look at the facts.
1/ The police attended a large pre-planned celebration. To control the situation they erected barriers to close off some roads.
2/ They had to remove a barrier to let an ambulance through. The car guy got through by tailgating the ambulance. This was a stupid/selfish thing to do but it may be he had to be somewhere and was frustrated by the delays.
3/ An angry mob of fans then attacked his car. This was terrifying for him - as it would be for you or anyone.
4/ In panic his only thought was to extricate himself from the incident. Unfortunately he struck some of the fans while making his escape. He was then arrested.
If you're sure the guy is guilty of attempted murder who do you think he was trying to murder - maybe he's an Everton man so Liverpool fans? There was clearly no racial aspect to the crowd so what was his motive? Was his attack planned/pre-meditated?
Fortunately we have some level of justice in the UK so these questions will need to be answered. Just saying he supports a politician you don't like is not proof of attempted murder and certainly not enough to secure a conviction.

@JonUK41 I think you will find you started off this thread by telling us you knew what he was doing . .
JonUK41 · 36-40, M
@SunshineGirl I won't find that.
The only thing that's clear was he tailgated an ambulance to get through a barrier. No idea why he did that but there could be several explanations ranging from stupidity to malicious intent.
Why don't you tell us what you think he was doing and why?

@JonUK41 I have posted what I saw on the video footage. Now I would prefer to wait for the outcome of the judicial process.
The whole point of this post, in my opinion, is to point out the difference in the tone of media coverage when the suspect happens to be white, British, and not obviously a terrorist.

@SunshineGirl Maybe you're not from the UK so you wouldn't know but we have had plenty of white terrorists that have done serious harm. Skin colour is not a guide to terrorist intent.
JonUK41 · 36-40, M
@iamthe99 Who needs the courts. You know the man's a terrorist because he's indicated support for a politician you don't like. Guilty as charged - throw away the key.
Could you explain what he was aiming to do and what his motive was? Is he a member of some group or acting alone?
Before we convict the guy we need more detail on what you think.

Absolutely agree. Let the court decide - not some kangaroo social media circus
