Oops!!! Trump Does Not Have the Authority to Unilaterally Impose Tariffs

A US federal court has blocked President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs, in a major blow to a key part of his economic policies.
The Court of International Trade ruled that an emergency law invoked by the White House does not give the president unilateral authority to impose tariffs on nearly every country.
The Manhattan-based court said the US Constitution gives Congress exclusive powers to regulate commerce with other nations and this is not superseded by the president's remit to safeguard the economy.

Federal judges and foolish people in positions in power keep trying to supersede the presidents own powers.

This don’t not make it factual. “We are the opposition and we do not like that the party we are against is doing something we are not in control of…”

They can keep trying. The will of the people voted for this. And going against the people is only continually ruining the reputation of the left. And then they get upset when things keep getting overturned both by the will of the people. So good luck to them. Majority support is still overwhelmingly in support of the president. And surprisingly continuing to grow as the left continues to make these stupid mistakes showcasing their abuses of power.

When signing executive orders which Trump is doing. They are executive. Meaning they are LAW. For the term residing over his presidency. They may not be passed as amended laws within government and can be overturned with executive orders implemented by the next president. But Congress can nor senate can easily turnover an executive order. The most they can do is vote against it from being a permanent law.

I know people like you are slow and don’t understand the various laws so here’s a small snippet and breakdown showcasing his authority on the matter. And this is without executive orders being attached.

And he has already declared our country in a state of national emergency. To protect us from all powers both foreign and domestic. So yes. He has the authority to do so, especially when combined with the executive orders he has signed.

The problem is you leftist reek so much of desperation and cope. You gobble up any little bit of slop thrown your way, no matter how nonsensical it may be.

@AuRevoir But Trump declaring an emergency doesnt make it so. This "emergency" is only that because he created it..But it doesnt matter now. The damage has been done and America had lost its magic..All the soon to be unemployed people can line up for the greatest value piece of Trump Merch from China.. A Trump Voodoo doll. Tell me someone hasnt already thought of it..😷

@AuRevoir wrong on all counts. If you want authoritarian rule, try North Korea.

@trollslayer 🙄 Literally spelled it out for you by supplying the facts and the specific acts that represent those facts and your best gaslighting trick is: “Wrong.” With no substance behind it. 😂 yes, good luck convincing anyone you’ve made a point, solid argument, or even rebuttal with that.

@whowasthatmaskedman Presidents have the right to declare it and they’re not up for debate. The will of the people voted for this because they recognized the emergency themselves. 😂 As it stands we are still in a national state of emergency and until that emergency is lifted the laws fall under such.

🙄 You people are either so low IQ it proves the pints being made about the scholastic system failing which is why it’s being defunded and handed back to the states. Or you’re just willing to lie to suit the needs of your “feelings” 👀🥤 either way none of your arguments work in “reality” so good luck with that..

@AuRevoir Thank you. I was expecting it to be more difficult to explain to others why you are incorrect. But you managed it for me by being so obvious. The judges in the Federal court ruled that Trump overstepped his limited authority in using this ploy to bypass congress. They ruled that under US law. They didnt just make that up.. Now i fully expect a series of nasty tweets and threats from trump , which is his version of a tantrum. But more than this, I hope he tries to get the case appealed. None of it matters. Hundreds of $Billions worth of trade just walked away from America and wont be back for year, if ever.. NOW trump has his emergency. The one he caused and that you will pay for. Along with the rest of America..😷

@AuRevoir All of us know we have 4 more years of this coming. Since 2016 they can't face their own failures let alone the disasterous last four years. They keep digging the hole deeper and deeper and will continue until it all collapses in on them. Einstein described it and they still refute it. THEY ARE INSANE.

@Gibbon You can't have tariffs on and off daily and justify it .Is he flipping a coin on it ?

@trollslayer Lets not make it personal. Everyone has a right to an opinion. How they form and justify that opinion is what really defines them.. Personally I go with doing your research from various sources and thinking it through.😷
