Its the same here in Australia... The average income is $85,000 a year. Really? Who is earning that? Not the essential workers who kept the country running during lockdown!

@Thevy29 Quite so. However, we do still have more of a middle class than America. Here the minimum full time annual wage is close to $50,000. I know you can get arounfd that by offering less than full fime hours. But it is law, nationally..😷
The mean is just one measure; the median & mode would help, too, but seeing the ACTUAL distribution, and the % of total income both in each bin and in toto is a much better indicator.
