America First? More like America Alone.

Canada/US trade relations:

Canadian Prime Minister Carney on Tuesday steered clear of criticizing Trump personally, acutely aware that the two countries share a tightly integrated economy, with more than $725 billion in trade between them.

But as the standoff drags on, trade is shifting away from the U.S. The Trump administration’s tariffs on Canadian steel, aluminum, cars and other products — as well as Canada’s retaliatory levies — led to a decrease in U.S.-Canada trade in March. Canadian exports to the U.S. dipped 6.6 percent, while imports fell 2.9 percent.

Meanwhile, its exports to other countries surged 24.8 percent, canceling out the deficit with the U.S.

Looks like Canada has found other partners to export their goods to.

Canada (and other "allies") have always walked on eggshells around America in trade, supposedly to make up for the other benefits of being Americas friend. Having a 100% short term transactional President (Translation* "What have you done for me, lately?") in the Brown House means no one has to do that any more and america is going to have to barter like everyone else to get a deal. And they have a lot to lose. Particularly if some ask for payment is something other than $US..😷

What shape are other authoritarian controlled, nationalist countries in? How do their citizens fare?
We are being destroyed from the inside. Trump and his entire cult are just only a cancer. If it isn't excised soon, it will be too late. Feels like we've already lost a lung...
@Carla The past is not different from the present under trump. And no awareness ever changes the lies Americans believe.

@Roundandroundwego some americans
@Carla the conservatives who run everything and both political parties don't include people who care, and the population works for its living and serves the ownership. The population has no need for a third party.
Yes. Predictable.

Why are we allowing this?

The deals a sociopath makes are often broken. Americans don't see themselves as a sociopath in history. Lolz. So, yup!
