Liberalism isn't a party. TR and Lincoln were Republicans. George Wallace was a Democrat.

That's the thing Republicans want you to forget. Liberals have switched parties a couple of times over the last two centuries. They were Republicans during the Civil War, because they wanted to preserve the Republic. Today, Lincoln would be a Democrat.
