As an answer to a question I said voting suppression

Is something that is strangely legal and worse than murder. With voting suppression in existence it means civil rights are not truly protected. Millions of Americans can not participate in voting for no other reason than blind hatred and fear.

Nothing will ever change for the better if voter suppression continues. Countless people suffer because of voting suppression. People make stupid choices because of the effects of voting suppression. People’s families become poorer because of voting suppression and not having the chance at better education and jobs. They begin to hate those who are not like them out of jealousy born from evil policies such as voting suppression.

Ignorant or evil people say voting suppression prevents voting fraud. This notion is very inaccurate. In the history of America fewer than 90 cases have been confirmed of voter fraud.

The only other country that has a voting system and also participates in voting suppression is the Barbaric Federation of Russia.

There is a simple fix to all this.. Make voting madatory.. Issue a fine to anyone who fails to vote. Unless they can provide a valid excuse. This requires that each electorate provides access to the means to vote without hardship, or there will be penatlies on them. Registration to vote can be attached to many forms of state and federal ID. From a social security number or Drivers licence or a utility bill..😷

I agree, voting should be mandatory. The only thing is, to make voting mandatory you'd also have to make political education mandatory, otherwise people would only check off one arbitrary name on a voting card when they voted which of course would be meaningless.

@swirlie Now we are getting into the weeds. How about preferential voting V first past the post. I was focused on only one change, so as not to confuse Americans.😷

... yes, I know what you mean, even when I was expelled from high school twice, the Principal was smiling on both occasions, as was my Teacher who had issues, as was the Vice Principal who was there as a witness, as was I the innocent victim ...as they all escorted me out the front door of my school to the bicycle stand alongside the front of the building and then stood there waving goodbye to me as they watch me mount my 10-speed bike and ride off into the sunset. Very nice and Canadian they were! 🇨🇦
