Can Any MAGA Explain Trump's Tariffs?

I'm taking a few days to recoup from the flip flopping induced whiplash. Same for the rest of the world.

Today's latest, the Administration is now saying that their intent was not to punish China, but to help it diversify its economy from a total focus on manufacturing to a bended manufacturing model.

So, out of curiosity, where did the "Sir, may we please have a deal, they're kissing my ass", and "we're making $2B a day from China with the tariffs", comes in that strategy?

Sooooo, just to clarify todays latest....Deranged Donald felt China was too focused on manf....and did All this just to help them out....not about helping the U.S.....is that about the sum of it?

The good Samaritan that he is, gave this as a summary to explain his strategy, with a couple of his people pushing the message out. I guess that's one strategy. Kudos to whomever came up with this line to explain the strategy!

@Northwest Im sure the Trumpy magas will have some reason....well, at least whatever they are told to say. I cant see how anyone could rationalize anything Trumpy does.

@PHlover19701 None of them could identify the strategy, but they're good because the market did well today and yesterday, but they gloss over the fact that the reason the market went up, is because Trump feigned amnesia, and said he did not want to fire Powell (which is what tanked the market), and did not want to impose high tariffs on China (the primary reason the market tanked prior).

This is like this guy I knew, who would get an F, and his strategy was to come home and open up with "I got 3 Fs", and when his parents explode, he would say "No, I only got one F". You would be amazed how that turns a bad situation into a beer and barbecue celebration.
