A military operation to dismantle the Iranian nuclear program.
While this administration still plays into Tehran‘s hands by extending yet another unmerited olive branch and by purportedly restraining Israel‘s sharp strategic instincts on the matter at hand, it is fair to assume that if these final negotiations were to fail, the military option will have to be activated. Should the US administration insist on a full, verifiable and permanent dismantlement of Iran’s current nuclear program and its adjacent missile development, then this last diplomatic push is almost definitively going to fail. Iran‘s clerical regime is not going to relinquish its only hope for survival when the regime is already facing its most vulnerable and perilous moment since the revolution of 1979 and the Iran-Iraq war in its aftermath.
So assuming that the administration‘s position remains unchanged and further assuming that they are willing to enforce a decades long bipartisan commitment to a non-nuclear Iran, there‘s going to be a joint US-Israeli operation to neutralize the clear and present danger emanating from Iran in a few months.
This JINSA report elucidates how we got here, why a military option is necessary and how to execute it as effectively as possible in order to completely take out the entire nuclear infrastructure of Iran, to suppress or deter any retaliation, to deny any reconstitution efforts by the regime and to use the success of the operation as a bargaining chip to get Iran‘s consent to an IAEA presence which will indefinitely ensure the complete denuclearization of Iran in accordance with the NPT.
