@Jokersswild All smartphones, computer monitors, and "various" electronic parts (none brand specific) are among the now exempted products. The exemption applies to all products entering the USA or removed from warehouses as of 5 April... according to the official US Customs and Border Protection notice posted overnight on Friday.

As a point of reference, 90% of Apple's iPhone production and assembly happens in China (just as one example). So, yeah rather than taking responsibility for his own stupidity or blaming his chief advisors (at least publicly), he is basically walking away from the tariff without having to tell "the base" he f-d up. Look for him to poke his head out from his taxpayer funded golf game sometime this weekend to drone on and on about how flexible and tough he is while never surrendering and showing off his mugshot pose of never surrendering (which translates to he surrendered once again). And, thankfully he has surrendered. But, his insanity is still doing real damage. He has to go.
