Can somebody please explain to me the ruckus due to Trump’s tariffs when all countries have higher tariffs on US?

Serious question. Are they disgruntled cause they can’t play fair? Like what’s good for the goose is no longer good for the gander? He only placed half the amount on them as their amount on us from what I read.

IMO these countries that as Trump says, have been ripping the U. S. off tariff wise.

And the fact is, it is very likely unless you really follow economics and tariffs, it is not something that you dwell on or even realize that you may in fact be paying higher prices because of other countries’ tariffs on American goods.

Trump has brought the issue to the forefront and if what he has alleged is true then he took the road less traveled and acted. Ergo-he shocked those nations that have imposed higher tariffs on the U.S. than we did on them.

@beermeplease Why’d he sign off? I can’t s say why , but I would think, given his allegations of unfair actions as tariffs were being levied in a way he saw as unfair, he retaliated and imposed the tariffs. But at the time of the signing, everything I’m guessing was “ fair,” and no issues were looming.

The last American president with ANY business experience at all was Harry Truman. And he arranged for HIroshima and Nagasaki to glow at night, as well as involve America in the Korean War.

PRESIDENT TRUMP single handedly built an eight BILLION DOLLAR international real estate empire.

Maybe he's doing this because he has experience in dealing with the world, with all those companies, as a successful businessman. He clearly has better business sense than ANY previous American president.

I trust his instincts over Adolf Biden, Saddam Hussein Obama, or any other goose stepping DemoNazis.
