Imagine losing your superpower status as a country because you hate liberals or want to screw a dude but can't cos you're conservative. Crazy. Let's not forget about the far right crossdressers who vote conservative while saying there's no such thing as a gender spectrum. Yes most of them are straight but I classify it as flexible at the very least.

I actually think it is a good thing in the long run. The US no longer being an empire. It has been happening for 20 years. But Trump is just speedrunning the end.

It actually happens to alot of empires. Like Britain nearly triggering nuclear war over the Suez Canal in the 1950s in an attempt to flex dwindling military power.

But the rest is dead on.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I agree with you and I've also known it's coming. My point isn't so much that I care the US isn't going to be a superpower anymore, power isn't really my thing. It's for the fact that other countries are so ahead of us that we're not moving forward. It just affects quality of life, I don't care about money.

Other countries have four day work weeks, parental leave, abortion available, pro lgbtq+ rights, secularism (I'm spiritual by the way but support secularism as a form of govt,) righting past wrongs of colonialism or at least attempting to patch the history up to make things better rather than complaining that immigrants have jobs.

I mean other countries have high speed rails going from one place to another and others are trying to work on climate change.

What happens in the states is that conservatives talk about how bad gay people are and they hate wokeness, going after schools, getting rid of colleges while saying they want to be in the gilded age but it's 2025.

Then you have anti vaxxer pro life parents murdering their children and then on the news, they still blame vaccines. It's 2025, these people didn't get the memo.

These are people who view success as relative. To them being more successful can happen through either self improvement or by making everyone else worse off than you are. They've decided that the second option is the way to go for some insane reason.
