Japan, the EU and China projected to outperform the US economically for the first time ever

No hate towards them, I wish prosperity for all. But experts say that the US is going to lose their status as a superpower with its allies being the Middle East, Russia and maybe North Korea. Because of Trump, we have no power and you can thank Trump supporters for that. When we enter a great depression and lose our economic power entirely, I'll remember whose to blame.

It’s all bad! 😭 sad part is these plans are coming from one man but we are the ones faulted for it. It’s not let’s boycott Trump. It’s let’s boycott US. We are losing so many jobs. I hope he’s impeached and we can fix our relationships with our neighbors Canada, Mexico and allies.
His plans aren’t even making sense to Americans but we’re so distracted and no one is talking about it. I’m surprised I don’t hear my coworkers talk about it. I work in a 90% Hispanic population area and I haven’t heard them even complain about trump deporting their families/friends/people. I seen one short rally through the streets and that’s it. No one talks about the tariff but we are all caught up in the drama with the uber driver and that dank stank obese girl.

@TheeRoyalBee He was absolutely clear about his plans. People either didnt believe him or they thought someone they were not going to be effected.😷
TheeRoyalBee · 31-35, F
@whowasthatmaskedman no, people really didn’t know. He did have a small agenda written I skimmed through it and thought he was crazy. I didn’t think he was going to win. I’m sure people didn’t read it and only listen to some of the things he said. He lost my home state and my current state, they were won by Harris. It was a close vote. Trump won by a couple points. It was Almost 50/50. I think the main reason Harris lost was that she ran for president late. I don’t think people wanted Biden who seem sick/frail and when he dropped out, she decided to run. If you can also see we really don’t have any great options to choose from.

Also, I don’t think everyone knew about his agenda posted online. Just for real.

I don't think America will lose it's superpower status. It is/was in slow geopolitical decline anyway

Though the Trump regime (by accident or design) will accelerate that decline. Their extractive economic policies, tariffs and burning of former allies will all damage the relative strength of US capitalism relative to others. It's red meat for the base and distraction by fighting all these battles.

Though the people running the regime will increase their wealth. It's like 19th century robber-barons. They have zero interest in making America great again. It's bread and circuses (well... mostly circuses) as the rot sets in.

However, it will stay a major power for now,

@Burnley123 Yeah I agree that it won't happen overnight, but I think it won't happen slowly either. Bigger and more long-standing empires than the USA fell catastrophically before, magnitude isn't necessary a security. I brought up the USSR because the circumstances are similar: implosion caused by corruption, oligarchy in the making, and only recent example of superpower imploding in the modern era I suppose

Remember also that scientifically speaking the curve of things going to shìt is never linear but always exponential. At the beginning it looks manageable but then you get a hockey stick 🏒 Trump's first term was the orange part (lol) of that emoji, and now they're (we're all, actually) officially in the red "find out" phase

@Elessar Slowlt at first, then all at once...

Bigger and more long-standing empires than the USA fell catastrophically before

As an Italian, I wonder what you mean. 😝

Even people in Canada are starting to talk about working more closely with China since they are a reliable trading partner. Although they have huge human rights issues.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@SatanBurger Plus no one wants to give America any of their money. Many Canadians have boycotted all American products. Same with some Europeans who have done the same.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@JimboSaturn The way I see it, every country has a right to defend itself. I don't want any of this, if it were up to me, they'd sit down and think of plans to help our citizens. Trump and other politicians would be removed. But at the same time, if they're not going to listen to reason and that's the way they want to go, countries are wise to close us off.

In fact, I'd say if most countries didn't do that, they will end up screwed so there's no other choice.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@JimboSaturn China is just another US/Russia in the making, they're your "ally" until they decide to invade you for whatever reasons.

Ideally all our countries need to look after themselves, no other superpower should take the role the US had, we collectively need to act as one.
It doesn't have anything to do with Trump since this has been policy since 1953 but the US is even losing support in South Korea.

There are some questions about what the US knew about the military coup attempt, and if that was not bad enough the first priority after the coup was making sure US military exercises stayed on schedule.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I'm not saying you were meaning it this way but not every person who is part of the left is a Democrat. I get what you're saying and agree.
@SatanBurger Oh heck no. Obama was to the right of our most conservative PM to date (Stephen Harper).

And sadly the Democratic establishment would rather have Trump than support like the 10 leftists in the entire party. 😂

Russia and North Korea have no interest in the US. I think it is about time we retire the Trump as a foreign plant narrative.
@SatanBurger That is terrifying.
@SatanBurger My instinct is to invite Americans here but unless someone in Ottawa figures out the housing crisis for the people we already have It would be a rough ride.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Thats a sub plot of Handmaids tale, right there..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Lets get this absolutely clear. This is NOT about how well the EU, China and Japan are doing. This is about the abysmal performance of the USA under "you know who."😷

Americans aren't capable of philosophy, they just practice a philosophy where they're going to rule and dominate - facts aside.
