Is Musk destroying democracy?

From Seattle to Miami, anti-Musk protesters gather at hundreds of Tesla locations.

At a "Tesla Takedown" rally in Los Angeles on Saturday, a protestor, aged 65, said he felt compelled to join because he believes President Trump and Musk pose a threat to democracy. "I want to do everything possible to protect democracy in this country," he said. "Trump and Musk are acting like kings."

Organizers say the Tesla Takedown movement is fueled by anger over Musk's slashing of the federal government, and that it aims to hit the billionaire where it hurts — the electric vehicle company that's become his main source of wealth.

What do you think?

Musk is overstepping being in a government role he is insider trading for his car company; therefore i do not object; at least not strongly, I do not support these or any acts of violence.
Tesla has done serious damage to the environment, is not paying a fair share in taxes, and is now a lap dog to the president. so is it simply equal response?

exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 all his cronies are. Musk shouldnt be in government is he receiving a salary? He owns a publicly traded company? His stock is tanking? Good
exchrist · 31-35
@dale74 free advertisement in his role serving trump? It might not be helping him now, but thats because the public recognizes the corruption and corporate welfare?

@dale74 trump nor elon have stocks? Of any kind being influenced by the stock market. Youll see they are both playing the market. Get it to "crash" buy low. Then the recovery sell high and bank.

@exchrist they're not your favorite supports like Nancy pelosi Chuck Schumer or any of those others who have been doing insider trading AOC is one.

Both Trump and Elon musk have lost money since they have been working with the government. You're mistaking them for normal Democrats who go to Congress for less than a year and they're already worth over a million dollars.

@dale74 Wanna know Trump's net worth? 3.5 Trillion Euros :)

@dale74 I understand nothing.

@dale74 deflection again. Good work. When the market "recovers" they will make huge profits. Its so obvious its what oligarchs do. Hence trump plays ball with Russia (the former soviet union).
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
@exchrist wtf does obligarchs means. I know what kolokhuwaise means and in what language.
nobodyishome · 31-35, F

exchrist · 31-35
@nobodyishome oligarch- a very rich business leader with a great deal of political influence (particularly with reference to individuals who benefited from the privatization of state-run industries after the collapse of the Soviet Union).
