Is the Trump regime respected throughout the world??.

I've seen posts in here and social media propaganda about Trump being an 'American badass.'

He is 'feared and respected' like a drunk killer-clown. Kind of like if Chucky or 'It' did unintentionally stupid things while they tried to murder everyone. You are scared of it but also know it's ridiculous.

The United States is the only democracy in the world. Canada and UK and even Australia are all dictatorships.
He and Vance made it clear any country that messes with our democracy is going down.
We will not fight in the wars they create.
France says they are sending troops to fight Russia. When France gets Nuked the USA will do nothing. Its not our war.

🤣 or 😥
@Confined With respect, do you have any education or power of reasoning at all? Have you ever studied any other country? Have you ever studied anything. Your statement is absurd!

@Adeptlinguist Lets start with Canada. What did they do to the truck drivers who stagef a prorest?? Does a democracy defund people and seize their property and throw them in jail??????
Do you know if you live in Europe and you critize the govt in a meme you will be arrested??? If you say anything online about EU leaders you will be arrested. Is that a democracy???
Did you hear the speech JD Vance made about that?
Is there any other country any where in the world that has a constitution with a first amendment??? Name those countries I'll wait.

Europe is not a country. In which country does this happen?

you say anything online about EU leaders you will be arrested

We had a whole referendum debate in the UK in which EU leaders were denigrated vociferously. No-one was arrested.

@FreddieUK People have been arrested. THE UK is demanding x end all free speech and American citizens arrested for criticizing their government. JD Vance talked about that in his speech. Not a single place on the european continent has free speech.

@Confined Please tell me about the arrests. UK is not demanding the 'end to all free speech'. It is demanding social media companies and people who post to take responsibility for the results of false or malicious posts which lead to real world harm. Free speech doesn't mean no consequence.

JD Vance is part of an administration which has launched attacks on media outlets which won't fall in line with the President's view of the world, where private news organisations have been described at 'illegal' for offering alternative takes on political matters or reporting facts uncomfortable to the prevailing mood. Apart from Hungary (and Poland in the past), nothing has happened like that in EU or the UK to my recollection.

I do live in Europe (currently in Sweden) and this is patently not true. And Sweden is far more of a democracy than the US is with its absurd electoral college system and "2 senators per state" regardless of the population of the state.

Did you hear the speech JD Vance made about that?

Yes I did and it was a shameful and demeaning spectacle for your country - if you are basing your view of Europe on what JD Vance says, then it's hardly surprising you are so ill-informed. While at the same time Trump is saying that certain news organisations should be made illegal for disagreeing with him.

Also - it may have escaped your attention that ICE is rounding up and deporting people who are living perfectly legally in the US, purely for something they have said or written. The US is showing many signs of fascism, which is NOT the case in Europe (with the possible exception of Hungary - which is widely decried by the rest of Europe).

As for people being arrested, there were arrrests in the UK for incitement to riot. I think you'll find that incitement to riot is also illegal in the US.

The technical term for this statement is "BS".

Take Sweden, for example. Freedom of speech is a basic part of the Swedish constitution. You can read it here: https://www.riksdagen.se/sv/dokument-och-lagar/dokument/svensk-forfattningssamling/yttrandefrihetsgrundlag-19911469_sfs-1991-1469/#K1
