There is debate on the Wikipedia talk page for “United States” to change the form of government to “Oligarchy”.

Thoughts?

the democracy of the united states is still strong. its people are just fairly apathetic when it comes to their governance. (and who can blame them considering how things are set up?) and theres too many whiners such as those that want to change it to oiligarchy. unless its because they want to change it to oligarchy to take power away from the people in the sense of making them feel like they are powerless when they are not. in th US we have the power of petition. peaceful protest, etc.. we have the right of speech though most people just use it to complain and hate on others for no good reason it seems lately. it is only a democracy if peopel actually pay attention and particpate. i mean yeah maybe there are select people in power but we agreed to have them there. (or just plain lost the election of their choice of candidate) either way its still democracy-ish. lol

A most appropriate debate. Just a matter of time (depending on the courts) before the debaters are able to reach a decision.

Not quite there yet... But trying bloody hard
We won't know if America is still a Republic until the next presidential election.

@BohemianBabe you're an expert in that feild thanks for leaking a liberal playing card
@Toofargone When have I tried to change the subject?
I asked why you think America can't lose its democracy, considering that has happened to democratic countries before. Instead of answering, you changed the subject. Blame yourself. 🤷‍♂
Maybe if that pesky supreme Court gets out of the way

Question is, who are the American Oligarchs you're making reference to?

@swirlie whoever they're told to
