The hoops they jump thru

I have many MAGA on my social media feed - Family and friends from long ago. I’m astonished at the hoops they are jumping through the past few weeks to justify the actions the Trump administration is taken. It’s like they know it is bad, but post some excuse hoping for validation and reassurance from their fellow MAGA. A lot of whataboutism and “trust trump he knows what he is doing” rationale. Almost like they are checking in to see who is still supporting Trump. Anyone else experiencing this?

I’m enthusiastic about what Trump and Elon are doing. This is what I voted for and would happily for for this again. You guys think fuckery in play since the Wilson administration is going to be resolved in 90 days?

The deep state is two things, the state and deep. Trump and Elon have publicly stated many times, they’ve given themselves until July 4, 2026. Stay tuned

@redredred musk is the very definition of “deep state”

@luckranger71 I see you cant write your own response. Noted

@redredred It succinctly summed up your two paragraphs of paranoid drivel. You could have written “deep state! Derp”

@luckranger71 And you had to look up succinctly I’ll bet. No you think following the wisdom of sainted Joe Stupid is smart and railing against Wharton grad, multi-millionaire Trump makes you even smarter.

What you’re seeing right now is the righting of the ship of state. Starting in January of this year we have stopped going a trillion dollars deeper in debt every fifteen months and have leveled the international playing field for commerce.

You think because you might have a dim grasp of the law of supply and demand that youre qualified to critique economics. You haven’t the foggiest idea of what a tariff actually is, who collects it and how and how international trade agreements are made.

All you know is “Trump bad”

@redredred I’m loathe to respond, as your stories make it clear that you’re (learn how to spell this word correctly) pretty much a maladjusted sociopath.

I’ll say this: The United States is the richest country in the world. Of course we have a trade deficit—we will always buy more from other countries than we sell to them.
That's what happens when a nation is wealthy: you consume more.

I understand completely what a tariff is and what the stated motivation of the Trump administration is. Which is to say: tariffs in this case are a solution in search of a problem. Manufacturing jobs in heavy industry are gone from the US and never coming back. Nor should they. This has simply been an exercise in destroying wealth for no good reason.

In short, you’re a moron who should post less

PS: have a nice day.

@luckranger71 this ^^^^^

@luckranger71 if you object to tariffs why do you accept them from every other country we do business with?

Ahhh, there it is, my mistake expecting intellectual consistency from a leftard.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@redredred You must have thought you were so clever writing "if you object to tariffs". For simpletons like you this is advanced argument; analogous to proclaiming on a 60 degree June day "derp, there's no global warming".

You missed that I wrote "tariffs in this case", which go beyond targeted measures that all developed nations use to prop up certain industries and ultimately generate revenue.

Most assuredly not getting into an escalated trade war with our allies and trading partners, not to mention the other economic superpower on the planet. All done haphazardly with no consultation and prep for our own businesses for whom this trade war will be a death knell. No serious economist supports this. And the market has spoken. People's retirements are being decimated for no reason other than one man's giant ego and desire to add a bunch of assembly line/factory jobs that nobody wants, in places nobody wants to live.

@luckranger71 socialists keep trying to prove that policies that work in reality will work in theory. Perhaps the rock you live under is too heavy to move but I’m here into inform you that many, many of our trading partners are agreeing to no tariffs between our nations.

In other words, it’s working. It’s working so well Trump has offered to a suspension so others can get on board.
luckranger71 · 51-55, M
@redredred WTF do “socialists” have to do with anything? You do realize that ultra protectionism flies in the face of basically all conservative economic philosophy? But I forgot, you were asleep when they taught American history. Trump is closer to being the “socialist” (in the way you Magats define it) than anyone opposed to these tariffs.

“It’s working” 😂. Yeah, the bond market was about to collapse. Someone in finance finally got through to him. For now.

Name all the “trading partners” that have agreed to his terms. The WH won’t say. El Salvador doesn’t count.

Just post this instead the next time you feel like simping for Trump.
