Did Ontario premier D'oh Ford step in a big pile of do do?

He put a tariff on electricity being sold to The US. Trump has thus threatened to shut down Ontario's auto industry. I think Ontario needs the auto industry much more than the US needs Ontario electricity. Last time anyone looked Ontario was paying the US to take its excess electricity.

So what was the "correct" response? Go crawling to the White House to thank the incumbent for the wisdom of his unique economic insights?

@SunshineGirl The correct response would have been to become its own nation. Canada used to be British then it became American now it is in the process of becoming Chinese. It refuses to be Canada. Sadly for Canada the US will not let its northern border and biggest trading partner be Chinese so Canada has an option. Become your own nation and act like an adult or be taken over by a nation that is tired of carrying your books home every night only to be slapped in the face for doing it.

@hippyjoe1955 It is possible to be a strong nation and share in the benefits of economic interdependence and international friendship. Trump's alternative vision of world order is essentially for each country to sit in their own individual cave throwing rocks at one another.

@SunshineGirl Let me guess you watch CBC a lot. Too funny. Sorry but if you have an actual intelligent comment to make you are more than welcome. Just one question - Do you want to be part of China?
