Man Arrested After Alleged Plot to Kill Elon Musk, ‘Plant a Bomb’ Inside DOGE Boss’ House is Made Public

An Indiana man, connected to Antifa, was arrested on Feb. 18 after authorities discovered multiple online threats directed at X owner and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk.

28-year-old David Allen June Cherry of Clarksville, Indiana faces a level five felony charge of intimidation following an investigation that began when Texas authorities alerted Indiana State Police about threatening posts on X.

Police say Cherry was taken into custody without incident at his workplace, a Batteries Plus location, and transferred to the Sellersburg Post for further questioning.

A search warrant executed at Cherry’s Palmyra residence led to the confiscation of multiple weapons, including a handgun, an AR-15-style rifle, ammunition and a ballistic vest.

The first concerning post appeared on Dec. 6, 2024, when Cherry allegedly responded to one of Musk’s posts with: “We’re gunning you down, next Muskrat.”

Additional threats followed, including a Jan. 22, 2025 post stating, “I’ve got enough bullets for his b*tch a** and all the rest of you manchildren” in response to content about Andrew Tate.

The investigation uncovered more serious threats in February, with posts including “You’ve broken the law. You’re on the hit list” and “You’re robbing the American people. We will gut you and parade your corpse through the streets,” both directed at Musk, as outlined by The Post Millennial’s Hannah Nightingale.

The most alarming threat came on Feb. 16 when Cherry allegedly posted: “I am going to plant a bomb in Elon Musk’s house.”

When confronted by authorities, Cherry claimed he made the posts to be “edgy” and to provoke reactions from others, according to the affidavit.

The investigation revealed Cherry operates an online business called Red Pawn Dynamics, selling merchandise featuring what he described as “anti-government rhetoric.”

Detective Peyton noted in the affidavit that Cherry “stated he sells these as a marketing gimmick.”

Among the company’s merchandise is a patch depicting a figure resembling Musk at President Trump’s inauguration with a gun sight positioned over the figure’s head.

Other products include patches reading “Hamas Air Cavalry” – referencing the hang gliders used during the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel that killed over 1,200 people – along with items bearing phrases like “Local Politician Hunting Club” and “Slinging Lead ‘Til They’re Dead.”

Following the arrest, Antifa groups have rallied financial support for Cherry, claiming in a fundraising post that “This arrest demonstrates the current administration’s approach to dissent: which is to silence and sow fear. Let’s show them we aren’t afraid by supporting our comrade in his time of need.” The GoFundMe campaign had raised over $4,100 as of Thursday evening.
