It's so sad but Gaza could be a paradise similar to the French riviera. It's a part of the Mediterranean coastline isn't it! There could (and should!) be restaurants, souvenir shops, discos, strip shows, child toy stands, and hotels and casinos and ice creme parlours and movie theaters and... you name it. They could sell overpriced sun hats to British moms. They could make money. A lot of money. Enough money to send their kids to the Sorbonne university in Paris. Some of them might become professors at the yet-to-be-built Gaza university.
So – why don't they do that? –why don't they want to be rich? Why don't they want to live a healthy life in peace and freedom? – There's just one reason: because they decided to dedicate their shitty lives to the destruction of Israel. A non-sensical dedication that will always only lead to their own perpetual misery.
What self-respecting young guy in Gaza would work as a hotel bell boy for European tourists when he can give himself over to hating Jews day and night? That's what makes Gaza a horrible hell, unnecessary, unwanted, and doomed. 😕

@helenS the Balfour declaration has not quite turned out as planned
helenS · 36-40, F
@Convivial If only the people in Gaza were able to forget about being "Palestinians", and started getting a life!
They could even ask Israel to provide them with a $5 billion loan to construct the above-mentioned hotels, casinos and ice cream parlours, and I'm sure Tel Aviv would be more than happy to give them whatever they need.

@helenS I honestly don't know... Maybe, just maybe they

@helenS maybe you're right, I honestly don't know... Hopefully common sense will kick in and they'll pursue a different path

@Convivial Trump's idea of an expulsion of all people in Gaza would be a horrible crime if it ever materialized, which it won't I hope.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@helenS people don't come into his thinking
@Convivial Trump says a lot of things he never does. He says whatever gets him in the news. He doesn't have to actually do any of it, he just wants to talk big and see the cameras swing his way. If we all ignore him, he will eventually go away.
@helenS It would be yet another crime against humanity by tRUMP
@helenS Until hamas is destroyed, it will never happen.

@NativePortlander1970 Even when, at some point in the future, Hamas is destroyed, "Palestinians" will not stop trying to extinguish Israel, and to "get back home" (where they've never been, of course). Hamas is just one head of that hydra.

@helenS you are right Helen it should be a paradise everyone would like to visit. But because Hamas keeps the war going and everything gets blown up. It has happened several times in history.
