Why would I need to do that? I am sure there are high ranking military commanders dismissed or relieved of their command now and then for one reason or the other. They are all under wraps and not publicized. Military code of justice is separate from the civil justice system. The only well known firing is that of General MacArthur.

My argument is that Elon Musk is a dictator, at least in practice, because he is passing policy unrestricted through Trump. Trump is bypassing congress, and the SCOTUS declared that he's above the law.

Musk is working for free because he's doing things to enrich himself. For example, the Labor Department was investigating Tesla and SpaceX, but Musk stopped them. The FDA was investigating Neuralink, but Musk fired a bunch of their employees.
You know that lie that MAGA kept telling about Biden having someone fired for investigating a company that Hunter was working at? This is the IRL version of that.

And yes, the actions of DOGE require congressional approval. But because DOGE isn't legally a federal department, Musk and Trump are claiming they don't need congress for Musk's actions. This is illegal, of course, but so what?


Like MLK said, never forget that everything the Nazis did in Germany was legal.

Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's not authoritarian. The fact that SCOTUS decided Trump is above the law, and Musk is controlling Trump, is what makes Musk a de facto dictator.

@Kenworth4954 It's about time the US Government gets a deep cleaning starting with the Executive Branch. It's a pity Trump doesn't have presidential power to go after Congress, the Legislative Branch, and clean it up also. A lot of the Senators and Representatives hold dual citizenship and have been raiding the American public purse to pay for foreign wars to protect countries they are also citizens of.
