Do u believe that Canada can beat the US in a war ? 🪖

A guy at work tried to tell me that they actually can. He claimed that since we lost our power and associations with NATO and the UN that would be our main issue. And he also added that our allies would not assist us in a ground or air type combat simply because Canada is not really a world threat and that they are our neighbors. He said something about a missile that they have that could disappear and reappear at will. Im thinking to myself, this guy clearly does not know about our secret operations programs. And our underground unit in Area 51.
I heard that they have some stuff there that could wipe any country off the map with ease. And that coming from a military guy I know here on the water. Anyway, what do you think. Could Canada really beat the US in an all out war. Any style. Comments please.
Let the chips fall where they may. Best answer wins. ☺

The USA has the best military in the world. We have enough nuclear weapons to eliminate life on the planet 7 times and could bomb any nation we chose back to the stone age, without using nuclear weapons. Any country that even got close to being a serious threat, would cease to exist.
@lostlissa On paper. But the US has not won a conflict since WW2.....well you have Grenada, but that is like bragging that you conquered a tropical resort.

And the number of nukes doesn't matter much either. The US is trying to speedrun a new ICBM but the US only has a single company capable of doing so and this is the first ICBM since the disco era.

Russia has the world's largest arsenal according to both Russian and American sources. Both sides have around 5000 weapons.

The big difference is the US has been relying on cheap low yield weapons like the B-61 which is an upgraded version of a 50s era gravity bomb.

The reason why stealths are so important for American bombers is because the USAF still needs planes that fly directly over their target like it is 1952.

This applies to all the US bombs in Europe (which violates the NPT btw).

Most of the money spent on the US arsenal in recent decades have just been basic maintenance so they don't blow up in their silos so to speak.

The US arsenal with maybe the exception of the Navy subs is pretty outdated.

That being said. Everyone loses if we go to nuclear war.

@lostlissa Your notion was true until the American civil war. Since then, strategy has evolved somewhat. I refer you to Vietnam, Afghanistan and the Ukraine..😷

@lostlissa Thank you for your clearly constructed and erudite analysis.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman you are more than welcome

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Russia is no match for the US. Especially in an all out air warfare. They can barely hold their own against the Ukraine. China is the only country that can go toe to toe with US on all levels. But because of our special ops unit and those Area 51 aliens squad long term they don't win.
@Zonuss Except even the US intelligence assessment on Ukraine says the exact opposite. The US is impressive on paper.

And even US sources are talking about how the USAF is rotting. It is fine against some third world backwater but not in good shape to go up against a real military.

Russia is winning in Ukraine and even the US intelligence just publicly admitted they can't do shit about it.

And when it comes to the weapon systems that actually matter in this conflict Russia is out producing NATO including the US by 3X.

All of NATO is already losing to Russia. And yeah, China will stomp the US if they are stupid enough to pick a fight with the PRC.

The simple fact is the US and NATO were proven to be a paper tiger.

The US is also not in anyway prepared for a large scale conflict with anyone.

The aerospace industry is known for being late and overbudget and making toys worth billions that the US can't afford to buy in quantities that don't matter.

For tanks the US has exactly 1 factory that was almost closed in the 90s.

They have exactly one factory that makes gun barrels for all US tanks and all US artillery guns.

The US cannot produce ammunition in large enough quantities fast enough because ammo factories are antiques.

Heck during the war on Terror the US needed to contract out ammo manufacturing to Canada and Germany so they did not run out of ammo and that was a low intensity conflict for most of 20 years....and the US lost both after 20 years.

The US military of 1945 is gone.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Dude. A military US general will look at what you just wrote here and laugh. So did I. Good day. ☺ 🇺🇸
@Zonuss Facts are facts. The US has lost every single war since 1945.

The comments I made here come from American sources.

If you want to believe in war movie fantasies that is on you.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Oh you mean like the Afghan war where only 2000 plus US soldiers died. And in Afghanistan over 60,000 soldiers died. You need a reality check. Keep the change. ☺
@Zonuss Yes. Afghanistan where the US lost after 20 years of war.

Casualties don't mean much when you still lost after 20 years and burned through 8 trillion dollars.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow It means we won. ☺🇺🇸
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss If there is such a thing as a winner in any war, it is based on who holds the ground now... Dont feel bad. Afghanistan is gnown as "The Graveyard of Empires"😷
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman We feel bad for noone. People envy us and we know this. Don't envy. Beat US. Then you can talk. ☺🇺🇸
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss By what metric would you like to choose the contest?😷

Like the man said. "The first step to solving a problem is to recognise that there is one."
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman No real answer as always. ☺
@Zonuss Well you are proof American propaganda works to the point that you readily believe things in direct contradiction to reality.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I see you havent reached the first step yet...The only thing keeping America from being a third world country is $36 Trillion in debt America owes to other countries. Your personal share is over $100,000. And we dont take VISA...😷
@whowasthatmaskedman In alot of ways the US is a third world country. That is why their government doesn't want them actually learning how other countries do things.
lostlissa · 36-40, F
@whowasthatmaskedman @PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
Omg are y'all still spewing your bs on this post? I'm glad y'all found each other so y'all can take turns insulting the USA.
@lostlissa Stating facts. Reality is not defined by your feelings.

And you need to grow up if your response is to think anything that hurts your feelings is an insult.
lostlissa · 36-40, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow the USA is a third world country? You amuse me. You're dismissed.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@lostlissa I specifically avoid throwing insults .. Just the facts and the numbers Ma'am. Thats me. I dont really care if America is a democracy (which it isnt) or a Republic. (for which you could make a case with a stretch) ot a loose affiliation of millionaires and Billionaires as Paul Simon says. I just want it to work.. And it doesnt..😷
@lostlissa It objectively is. Your feelings don't matter.

You have a tinpot dictator.

Corruption is the status quo.

Healthcare that is an oxymoron and so bad people are cheering the murder of health "insurance" CEOs.

Infrastructure that is literally falling apart. Cities that don't even have safe drinking water.

Attempted far right coups.

And all of it barely held together by the military and paramilitary police.

That is the definition of a 3rd world country.
@lostlissa Dumbest thing I've heard this week.

90% of the population of Canada lives within 100 miles of the US/Canada border. It's not so much the immediate impact but a lot of air flows south from Canada to the US so you're going pollute the country with radioactive fall out. On top of that, it's going to get caught in the jet stream and contaminate Europe. The US is not going to use nuclear bombs on Canada.

The US has about 950,000 army personnel against Canada's 44,000. The only thing Canada has going for it is the surprise factor, since most of its army is also likely to be within 100 miles of the US border.
