Is Mr. Trump on the verge of betraying the Ukrainians?

With the recent "peace talks" being held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. Ukraine hasn't been invited. How can there ever be peace when the nation that is actually being devastated by the war is being ignored?
This reminds me so much of the Munich betrayal (Czechoslovakia 1938), because it is just so similar.

I'm sure that MAGA supporters will try their best to put a positive spin on this disgrace.

It's' certainly a fear, and one expressed by very many people.

At the very least, for invader and would-be peace-keeper to discuss the victim without involving it and its local allies at all, is extremely ill-mannered, self-serving.and even cowardly.

Of course everyone wants the fighting to stop; but not so as to help the invader achieve his eventual aims he presumably has, but has never made clear.

NATO is the "Elephant in the room" and the obvious issue that people are avoiding discussing. It's similar to pretending something isn't there, even though it's very noticeable. Ukraine is the pawn and excuse for confrontation between NATO and Russia.

NATO is a military alliance comprising the US and the EU in a joint effort to confront Russia. This NATO campaign has been ongoing since 1990 supported by politicians in Congress and the White House. The American people, who had nothing to do with it, has now elected Trump to remove the US from the conflict.

America's withdrawal from NATO allows the EU to seek its own path in dealing with Russia.

He’ll get around to talking with Zelensky. But having him there would likely just be a distraction in the early stages. I suggest you wait and see how it plays out. But you’re welcome to go ahead and continue to whine about it though.
I wouldn't say Trump will "betray" Ukraine. It may feel that way, but it seems pretty clear all along that he'll give Putin what he wants.
@MistyCee true, for betrayal there had to be other expectations first.

@MistyCee and what does Putin want ?

Is it really betrayal when you don't owe them something in the first place. They are not a NATO member, were one of the most corrupt countries in Europe and at one time that is where the missiles aimed at us were placed.

@Subsumedpat It’s not just about Ukraine, it’s about a common enemy: Russia. If it strengthens Russia(Putin) then the US is betraying European Allies who fear Russian aggression.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@trollslayer yes common enemy Russia, that is what they told us in Biet Nam.
trollslayer · 46-50, M
@Subsumedpat we negotiated with the USSR over Vietnam and we have troops on the ground in Ukraine? I see the connection you are trying to make, but I think you missed my point. This is more like is negotiating with China over Taiwan over the objections of Japan and South Korea.

If my memory serves me right Trump has never liked Ukraine.

Trump praise Putin for invading Ukraine

Trump believes it was Ukraine who interfered in elections

@Charity you need to stop quoting poltitico, it’s just been revealed, they were funded by USAID, not a good look
Trump only invited one side? Wow, I wonder which party in the war will get the most out of this negotiation: the one at the table or the one locked outside? 🙄

In order to comment on this post, I suggest, you educate yourself on what is going on in Ukraine, all the silly little comments like, Putin lover, Putin appologist, he’s doing what Putin tells him, is plain childish, it’s time you grew up, put your big pants on, you only know, what you’ve heard on mainstream media, which is as good as knowing nothing at all

Well, DUH!! He'd turn on the Ukranians even faster than he'd turn on low-income Americans.
