10 years from now the world will be more right leaning than left leaning. i know that much. what i don't know is what such a world would look like.

what do you reckon?

in the year 2014 I was arguing for left-leaning ideologies. enter 2024, and the world I wished for was here—and it's nothing like what I imagined.

now, I'm right-leaning, and if my personal experience is anything to go by, in the year 2034, right-wing ideologies will be the dominant ideology. but what would such a world look like... would it also be nothing like what I would imagine 🤔

Left and Right thought in America has been on a sliding scale, even since the 50s.

Example:

There's NO WAY the Democrats in the 80s would get away with using Social Security funds to pay for DEI programs on the other side of the world. There's NO WAY The Democrats of the 80s would have used USAID money to fund sex change operations for CHILDREN in this country, as well as other countries.

In the 80s, Democrats were BEGGING President Reagan for tariffs to help protect American union jobs. Today, they are SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER that Centrist President Trump is using the tariffs for that reason.

In the 80s, Democrats were totally ANTI WAR.

Today, it is PRESIDENT TRUMP who has decided to charge deadbeat European and Asian countries for our military, or he would pull them out. (It was TRUMP who was opposed to the Iraq war that Hillary KKKlinton voted for in Congress.) Pacifist Trump in the 21st Century would have been Tom Hayden's PEACENIK ideal of the world.

Conservatism of the 80s treated drugs a lot more simply: JUST SAY NO. In the 90s, the KKKlinton regime signed a bill (proposed by Senator Biden) that would lock up hundreds of thousands of perpetrators for simple possession of marijuana.

It was CENTRIST President Trump who (a) signed the bill legalizing the production of HEMP, (b) signed the Second Chance Act, which released thousands of BLACKS from prison, who had been put there for simple possession, and (c) it was Floridian Donald Trump who voted for this state's referendum to legalize recreational marijuana. (Today, you can easily get a scrip for medical marijuana in the Sunshine State)

Over a period of 40 years, the left wingf Democrats have moved to the left of KKKARL MARX. Republicans have almost become centrists. (Never thought I'd actually hear myself say that. )
