Trump seeks peace: negotiations with Putin will soon begin

Donald Trump has announced he is speaking with Putin and will meet with him soon. He says they will negotiate an end to war in Ukraine.

I'm just wondering what the feelings would be if during the American war of independence the French, half way through, changed sides and threw in with the British against the new nation struggling for it's own identity.... Just saying...

@Convivial Ukrainians do not know what they are struggling for; they say it is freedom and sovereignty, but they want to undermine their sovereignty by joining Europe and being “pro-West.” They are not neutral; they are antagonistic and have allowed themselves to be used by Europe and the former USA. Now, under Trump, we have the new USA.

@Convivial Do you think it was undermined when Yanukovych was in power? People like you were the first to say it was. You want everything your way, it is “democracy” when it is your way. You can spy on other countries and say you were casually observing or listened without meaning to. Maybe you were doing it to pass the time. When other countries do it, they must be stamped out.
