his golden calf says "in trump we trust"
every time he takes office we deal with some sort of disease
like aren't those big bible topics? his christian conservative following should be dropping him, for those and plenty of other reasons. and yet

It's not Christianity, it's Christian Nationalism, the same Christian Nationalism that Hitler chose for Nazi Germany. It has nothing to do with the teachings of Christ, and everything to do with helping the government control the people

@kutee
Yes, but the false doctrine that it's "God punishing people," for their transgressions, or worse, that it's "God's judgment" on the "nation," allows a rogue government to unjustly punish it's citizens.
"We are a nation of laws," not any particular religion or religious beliefs.

@AuRevoir
I'm sorry, but you took my words completely out of context, so let me explain just a little.
I did not say Hitler was a Christian, I merely stated that Hitler chose Christianity for Nazi Germany, and of the denominations to choose from, he chose the Protestant Church to be "The Church of Nazi Germany," for lack of a better term.
I hope this clears things up.

@calicuz Makes more sense now. Even though they didn’t practice anything base off what the Biblical texts say to do at that time. People are doing that today as well. If he somehow sold his spiel to a church even though the Bible clearly states that the Jewish people are the chosen bloodline by God to fulfill his promises unto the world and yet they went around committing the holocaust with the Jews at the forefront of their mind. It says a lot about people either not believing the very book they read, or not reading the book in the first place.

That’s a goat, not a calf.
Frostcloud · F
@cherokeepatti it's about building idols. building a cult image of worship. it doesn't have to be a black-and-white literal calf
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Frostcloud It is symbolic of the Golden Goat, a legend in the area of the Moors in the Middle Ages. There was treasure of gold hidden in a cave and the Golden Goat was the guardian of that.
Frostcloud · F
@cherokeepatti so you see a custom figure of an animal plastered with his face on money bills and "in trump we trust" and see him as some great guardian of treasure?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Frostcloud I guess you’ll understand when the time comes, until then believe what you want.
