ICE Raids Tren de Aragua Gang Suspects After Aurora, Colorado Apartment Takeover

In a bold pre-dawn operation, federal immigration officers raided multiple apartments in Aurora, Colorado, targeting a notorious stronghold of the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.

The raid, conducted just after 6 a.m. by agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), focused on Whispering Pines Apartments, one of three properties controlled by the Venezuelan gang,

ICE agents conducted a door-to-door search at the apartment complex, armed with a warrant. They marked unresponsive doors with red tape and those where contact was made with green tape. During the operation, six men were handcuffed and taken into custody.

Sources reported that ICE had been surveilling the property for several days, specifically searching for a member of the gang who had risen to power as a major drug dealer in the area.

While the operation was focused on one individual, ICE officials indicated that over 100 members of the violent gang were targeted for arrest and detention in the Aurora area as part of the early morning operation.

At Whispering Pines and two other properties in the Denver area, the gang seized vacant apartments, turning them into operations for drugs, prostitution and even exploiting fellow illegal immigrants, particularly women and children.

One of the most troubling practices of the gang involves charging rent to illegal immigrants, some of whom were forced into sex work.

Gang members have been reported to use violence to maintain control, including a disturbing incident where an illegal immigrant had boiling water thrown at her after she and her husband refused to pay the gang’s extortion fee.

Authorities are actively working to dismantle the gang’s operations in the region, with more raids expected in the coming days as part of their ongoing efforts.
