Why did Trump welcome a war criminal with open arms?

Netanyahu is clearly a war criminal, but Trump and the republicans strongly support genocide. Why would Trump make a statement he wants to continue with the genocide and take over the Gaza Strip and become a war criminal himself?

Because that's the kind of project that the USA also is. The population is interesting - definitely killers and no conscience,!!! Chatting about genocide is the old USA in fine form!! Americans are that. Just that.
