TARRIFFS...THOUGHTS???

I can see a negative impact on American Consumers.
What solution could be in place as to not cause a terrible impact, food, gas, hardline or softline merchandise?

So far, all PRESIDENT TRUMP has done is use tariffs to influence the behavior of two countries who have been letting illegal alien criminals and fentanyl cross our borders illegally. And those tariff THREATS have brought both Canada and Mexico to the table.

No actual tariffs have been put into place.

But if you want to get totally far left HYSTERICAL and act like it would impact food, gasoline and other merch, that assumes you think ALL America's consumer goods are made elsewhere and we import EVERYTHING we need.

You didn't get the memo that America HAS domestic energy, oil refineries, etc. (WE TAUGHT THE REST OF THE FCKING WORLD HOW TO USE GASOLINE.) America has FARMS and CATTLE RANCHES. We actually produce OUR OWN FOOD. Gee!

KKKalifornia is allegedly home to the big computer companies, which is where software is created. So far, no one has suggested KKKalifornia is a separate country.

You sound hysterical.

That fits with my theory that most of you here are children. Most of you here are millennials, who have no idea what you're talking about. You've never lived any real life. You've had everything given to you. And your sole source of information are these farting cows.

@Reason10 How many groups of individuals do you have to blame for your failures? Millennials are now the problem? Once the Baby Boomers die the United States will be a better place; you are 70 already.

@Reason10 America did not invent the internal-combustion engine or the motor-car though! (German) [Nor sex...]

Your country's best bet may be to use taxes not to limit imports but to encourage companies, especially if American-owned, to invest in America so manufacturing domestically becomes competitive with manufacturing overseas.

The problem with import taxes then comes if you levy them on raw materials you do not have. That immediately raises the domestic use cost. They are two-edged sword.

I never said it did. Here's my quote: (WE TAUGHT THE REST OF THE FCKING WORLD HOW TO USE GASOLINE.

https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/gasoline/history-of-gasoline.php Edwin Drake dug the first crude oil well in Pennsylvania in 1859 and distilled the oil to produce kerosene for lighting. Although other petroleum products, including gasoline, were also produced in the distillation process, Drake had no use for the gasoline and other products, so he discarded them. It wasn't until 1892, with the invention of the automobile, that gasoline was recognized as a valuable fuel. By 1920, 9 million vehicles powered by gasoline were on the road, and service stations selling gasoline were opening around the country. Today, gasoline is the fuel for nearly all light-duty vehicles in the United States.

In Trump's last administration he successfully used Tariffs to stop China and other trading partners from ripping us off. As a result, American job growth EXPLODED as companies yanked their factories from the far east and built them here in America. The corporate tax cuts helped, too.

PRESIDENT TRUMP used the tariff THREATS to get Canada and Mexico involved in keeping those illegal alien ANIMALS from crossing our borders and bringing in fentanyl, human trafficking, and other crimes. And those tariffs were successful.

This country has a REAL president at the helm. And he's the best president of this century. He's done more good for America than ALL DemoNazi presidents combined.
