And in breaking news....

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has said reports of tariffs from 1 March are false before announcing new tariffs Donald Trump plans to impose on countries from tomorrow, including: “25% tariffs on Mexico, 25% tariffs on Canada, and a 10% tariff on China for the illegal fentanyl that they have sent to our country, which has killed 10s of millions of Americans.”

Mexico is awaiting any potential US tariffs with a “cool head”, its president, Claudia Sheinbaum, said on Friday. “We will always defend the dignity of our people, respect for our sovereignty and a dialogue as equals without subordination,” she said.

@Convivial If you're saying fentanyl and alcohol are the same I'm not to sure that's the call. And let's not forget, fentanyl is already illegal. If you're saying legalize it then you don't know fentanyl. My point is that this country is void of a very simple proposition that used to be a driving force. Personal responsibility.
If addicts can't quit you help the addicts. If people are turning to drugs because they're weak or looking to escape, you address the reasons why.
What we do is spend HUGE money on treating the symptoms of diseases. We don't address the cause. Either way, Americans who don't use drugs pay for those who do. But that's how we roll. "Good" pays for "bad."

@Ynotisay not saying any of those things... What i am saying is that there is a big market and it will be serviced illegally, and that brings in corruption...
Ynotisay · M
@Convivial Agreed. And what I'm saying is that if you eliminate the market you eliminate the corruption. And that's ENTIRELY dependent on individuals.

@Ynotisay totally...i have my own thoughts on why certain drugs are sought after but that's a whole different discussion,. But until you get rid of the need or the desire for drugs you are always going to have this problem
