Biden and Blinken are definitely Zionist leaning and gave Israel a lot of money, weapons and diplomatic cover along with mild criticism. I don't think that they (along with other liberal Zionists) actually knew what they wanted from this situation. They wanted to 'protect' Israel, did think it was going too far but did not know how to stop it. Netanyanhu ruthlessly exploited that confusion of purpose.

Now their is no confusion. The Christian Zionists in the trump administration want Palestinians out of Gaza.

There is material difference too because what the Biden administration would not do was put heavy pressure in Egypt and Jordan to take refugees. They didn't want their allied Egypt regime to suffer a second Arab Spring. Trump doesn't care and will be quite happy to withdraw aid. If he can threaten Denmark then why would he give a shit?

This is an ugly situation that is going to get worse.

@Burnley123 No you're quite right about it and with the ICE example, they're now targeting previously 'safe' areas as a political show of force. That is different, but the outcome is pretty similar - lots of deportations.

With the Palestinians, we have a definite difference between using diplomatic channels to tell Israel to knock it off and openly encouraging them. I'm not sure if the final state of the Palestinians is wildly different because Israel was already doing whatever they wanted.

I can be wrong but when the Democrats permit this deranged genocide - yeah Trump is worse but Jesus fuck where else do we go from that point.
