Question for the Trumpeteers:

Why do you care so much about DEI programs?

How do they personally hurt you?

Can you somehow not buy plywood because of Home Depot’s DEI program?

Can you not enlist in the Coast Guard because of a DEI program?

Budweiser not taste the same because of a DEI program?

I’m trying to understand this backlash beyond good old fashioned bigotry…

because forced diversity is bad and federal condemnation of it serves as the message that people who commit it are not doing something good like they think they are. If we let it go it says we are fine with this disingenuous behavior which allows it to grow into other behaviors. If someone doesn't think these ripples grow then I don't know what to tell them.

@Jackaloftheazuresand so how does this affect you, personally? You didn’t answer that.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@trollslayer I did though, how people act in society affects everyone in that society. As much as we like to say so long as you aren't harming me do what you want, it's not a reality. Every action harms others because it spreads

@Jackaloftheazuresand you are arguing how (in your opinion) this affects society negatively, and therefore affects you because it offends tour beliefs. So basically, it hurts your feelings?

I am asking how it affects your personal rights. If home depot said that straight people can no longer shop there, that affects your rights. If is is a matter of them hiring transgender people and you CHOOSING to not shop there because it offends you, that does not affect your rights.

Believing that diversity leads to some kind of moral decay is an opinion, and is bigotry.

@trollslayer Um no. Liars are bad and a society that tolerates them becomes worse, it creates thieves and murderers if it goes on long enough.

No it doesn't, I'm bi. That's how you'd answer isn't it? Don't hurt me, eh who cares.

I said forced diversity

@Jackaloftheazuresand how is it forced if a company chooses to have a DEI program?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@trollslayer DEI itself is the forcing. I'm not saying the company is being forced into having one.
